Haven't heard of this one. How is it??

It was really good. Daniels and JG-L were awesome in it:rock A nice little heistmovie. Definately worth a watch.

The plot...

"An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man's parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash."

Just watched Event Horizon again--hadn't seen it since it came out. Such potential in the first two acts, then watered down severely in the end. Studio rushed Anderson and test audiences hated both endings.

Also watched Across the Universe and really liked it. And I'm a huge Beatles fan, so I was hyper-critical when it was released, but it was pretty entertaining.

I also like The Riches--reminds me of Six Feet Under, but not as pretentious.

i haven't seen that in forever, i need to pic up the dvd.

Do you have or collect Blu Ray? They (Lionsgate) are releasing a 4 piece box set including the newest part IV on Blu Ray mid May. If not the set at least get yourself First Blood, I can't even count how many times i've watched this great film.

but I think I'll put a pause on it and finish it up later as the missus isn't feeling 100% (a month and 4 days down until due date of baby #2) so I'll go upstairs and keep her company until she falls asleep and I'll catch this on the dish (I was watching it earlier today during the wee ones nap)

I most assuredly will be watching this guy's seventh hosting of SNL tonight or tomorrow on the PVR.

Oh, but if my basement floods anymore then I won't catch any of it.:banghead That's how I'm spending my weekend-- in a rowboat in the basement.

Just watched Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Fantastic movie that was released at a horrible time (like a couple weeks before ROTK). I only wish they would make more movies based off the Patrick O'Brien novels.
