"X2, X-Men United" is probably number one. I think they did a great job of adapting the "God Loves, Man Kills" from the comics making it contemporary and suited to the medium of live action film.
"A History of Violence" is a really excellent adaptation also. Made a great live action film.
"Mystery Men" is also very good and an interesting take on the "Flaming Carrot" universe of superhero wannabes, but without the Flaming Carrot himself. Still very entertaining.
"Ghost World" is wonderful and I'd highly recomend it to anyone who hasn't had the chance to see it.
I also liked "Road to Perdition", Batman Begins", "Spiderman" 1 & 2, and "The Punisher" enough to mention them. Not that much else has impressed me, which is too bad because I want all comic movies to be great, and mostly, they aren't.
And while it isn't strictly a comic movie, "The Incredibles" was brilliant. Everything "The Fantastic Four" should have been. I'm hoping the Silver Surfer can save the franchise that even Jessica Alba's magnificent posterior can't seem to.

When I think of comic book movies I tend to think more of the superheroe types, not the dramatic types (Ghost World, Perdition, From Hell, etc.). So with that in mind:

X-Men II
Spider-man II
Superman
Batman
Batman Begins
Hellboy

I think that covers my absolute favorites. Of course I also dig the rest of the X-men trilogy, the Spider-man trilogy (yeah, III's got some issues), Superman II and Batman Returns (it's got freaking Chris Walken).

I haven't really dug Ghostrider, Daredevil, Fantasic Four, Punisher or, try as I might, Hulk - not for a dislike of the characters but just because the movies were more mediocre.

I'm pretty much a sucker for any comic book movie.

The Crow is probably my all time favourite movie, tying with Highlander.

Another two I enjoyed here that I haven't seen mentioned is "Bulletproof Monk" and "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". As I haven't read the comic books I enjoyed the movies for what they were, so the changes from the source material aren't a source of irritation to me.

The only one I really haven't enjoyed was the most recent Superman flick - I thought it was really boring. I enjoyed the take of Smallville alot better, and would have enjoyed to see a big screen version of that rather than what we got. Oh and Fantastic Four. That was craptastic.

Really enjoyed the Batman reboot - it needed it badly as the prior series of movies had deteriorated into parody. I didn't like Clooney as Batman - he can play a "anti hero" type - just look at Dusk Till Dawn - but he just didn't come across as dark enough for me.

The original MIB was good, the second only ok, but I'm glad they did it. I hope they don't try do a third one...

Another one no-one mentioned - TMNT!!! I loved the original, but I'll admit to have not seen the sequels, including the most recent effort. I've seen them cheap on DVD recently so its only a matter of time before I pick them up.

Others I've liked - Constantine, Spawn, The Rocketeer, Sin City.

Even Judge Dredd and the original Punisher with Dolph Lundgren were enjoyable. People might not like Sly or Dolph as actors - but lets face it - neither character is particularly deep and for pure enjoyment they were fun at the time they were made. I even liked Barb Wire - as long as you don't try to take it too seriously (but who would take Pamela Anderson seriously ?!)

I also didn't really like the Hulk.... so I hope Ed Norton gets lucky the script. I felt Eric Bana did well with what he got but it just didn't do it for.

Really looking forward to Iron Man - apart from the X-Men and Moon Knight he was the only other comic book I regularly read back when I was into comics. I hope the rumoured Moon Knight TV shows takes off but I don't like the chances after how the Blade TV show went.

On that - I did enjoy all 3 of the Blade movies - Wesley Snipes was perfectly cast as Blade.
