What could I get in trade for an Alien

BTW, just checking on recent eBay sales... a Grid (MIB) seems to be selling for $150+ and the AVP-R Alien is a bit less. So, in all honesty if you have the packaging you could probably do a bit better than my estimates.

With that you could even get into P1 territory...

I ordered from them a year or two ago, hoping to get a P2 elder that was still listed. They just took my CC info and never another word. No items, no cancellation, no charging. Crappy website, crappy service, crappy company IMO.

I'm not really a fan of the HT Aliens. They look great but are extremely delicate. I personally wouldn't trade a Pred for one of them.
And while I would agree that the quality of the AVP Preds leaves a little to be desired, they are classic figures and fetch very top dollar on the secondary market.

man, i don't even give those figures that much credit. i think they look kinda dumb.
they're about as film-accurate as the mcfarlane figures were and just as flimsy.

there are two reasons why i finally broke down and got a ht alien :
1 - nobody else will make them in 1:6.
2 - ...

I'm pretty sure in most cases, you're so desperate you'll take what you can get. Whatever the case, do you see a WTS thread from me? No. Fail.

As far as the preds go, I would argue that the Elder and Ancient Predators are both some of the most beautiful pieces HT's released both having considerably more detail than later releases.

I got one as a gift one year for Christmas (black version). It was broken in the box and I had to play hell to be able to exchange it and in the end I had to settle for the brown version. So my experience with this particular figure has been disappointing. As far as screen accuracy, I'm satisfied with the representation.

and i've heard plenty of stories about them arriving broken in the box. guess i got lucky.

In details? Sadly, I disagree. Not only is he a little short, but most of his stuff is sculpted on. That's not to say he isn't an awesome piece. I just would've preferred HT heightening the figure and going all out on accessories vs. going the sculpted route.

That's the best part. The film's looked HORRIBLE. McF's and Hot Toys versions were more of an improvement on the designs.

Considering the problems with the Alien figures; I'd be surprized if you could trade them at all.

Out of the Preds I've owned the P2 Elder is still my favorite... the AVP are nice, but you can tell that improvements have been made over time.

The Aliens are decent figures, but it seems like they've gotten worse over time. The AVP Warrior is a great figure, but the later releases have all had a number of problems... Aliens being the worst (at least for me) of the bunch.

to be honest, i really liked my POO-ey version, Aliens warrior. and it did test my patience, my figure had a few seconds airborne(intentionally) while i was assembling it. putting on the other arm damaged the rubber suit as well as gave me a sore thumb.

I liked my Aliens Warrior until he started degrading... I never even did much with him and the joints just self-destructed leaving me with a rag doll
