What did I do wrong?

I am working temporarily in Phoenix, AZ. So I called Sideshow about having items shipped here as I knew that just changing my shipping address would create a conflict between my shipping address and by billing address, which are required to be the same.

The rep told me that she would be happy to put a temporary address here in AZ and a note in my account explaining this.

So I ordered a figure and the exact issue I attempted to avoid is now biting me in the ass.

My other choices would have been to have the items delivered to my CA address which would have resulted in their being returned to Sideshow, or to simply not make the order which I am certain Sideshow, nor I, would prefer.

What should I have done differently?

Temporarily changed your billing address to where you are now with your financial institution, a quick phone call, and then change it back when you return home

Sideshow policy is that they ship to the billing address, this stops you using the same credit card on a 1 only item to buy a second and then shipping it to a different address.

This is interesting...my billing and shipping addresses are different and I haven't had any problems.

sign up for UPS my choice. That gives you the ability to redirect any packages sent to your address.
