I'm trying to build a collection of as many premium format horror and undead figures I can , but having missed the bus on all of the figures I'm having to pay auction and private owners prices, my question is do you believe they will stop at present prices go up or down i know the economy will play a part but in the long run things normally level out. I will try to buy the best condition with original packaging and keep in the best condition I can thanks for looking.

I wouldn't spend to much money on aftermarket prices. I made that mistake when I got into this hobby. There will be plenty of new releases, variants, re-releases ect in the future.

Only time they go down is if sideshow or Hot Toys can't get rid of them!
I want the exclusive Stealth Iron Man from HT and I didn't pre order it and I know that is going to rise much more than what it is now

You never know. People thought the same thing about the housing market....

I started about a year and a half ago and the prices have sky rocketed since then.

Pretty much all the "grails" have doubled or more in price. Current Anything that came out recently or in the past year should not go up in value. The Quality is not as good as many of the older pieces.

It seems the norm now for retail pieces to cost you about $500 with shiping etc.
A high quality older piece will range from $750-1200 and it's worth it.

To me, I think it is worth it to collect less pieces and just get the good stuff or what means something to you. Don't buy on impulse and be selective. It's easier sad than done but you will thank me for it later lol.

As my final thought on prices... I think that prices should stay where they are at for a while. I can't see the prices for these older pieces going up anymore.

so whats it about :yuck $650+ au for PF's to australia at the current dollar these days , i havent bought one in ages not sure what the shipping is on them now, how much is it?..just a spectator these days!

Considering the lacking quality control of the newer pieces, shouldn't newer items that are of a great quality be more worth since they aren't as easily foud as statues with paint errors, chipping etc? Just a speculation from my part.
