What have you recently had to pass on & why?

I find myself REALLY seriously concider every piece I like. Prices seems to be going crazy.

It's atleast got to be 1/4 for that price, at least then it'd make sense

Managed to cancel my Classic Predator on the day it was due to be shipped due to poor production piece posted on here.
Still debating wether to get Dutch instead.

Sideshow Crimson Guard. Compared to the way they did the one on the CC Throne dio the jacket really sucks. Just not enough effort for the inflated price, even w/ the extra head.

Rescue Mission Cap. Pretty simple. I'm holding out for the Avengers version.

Sucker Punch Babydoll. I walked out of the theater eagerly anticipating an announcement that somebody woud be making figures from Sucker Punch. Really enjoyed the style of flick. About a year later Hot Toys finally announced Babydoll and I was pretty gung-ho about it. But then a funny thing happened. As more and more holes in my collection began to fill up with figures from some of my all-time favorite movies it became clear that she just wouldn't really fit in.
In a roundabout way it dawned on me that I don't collect from newer films with the exception of Iron-Man and Spidey, all the marvel guys will eventually go together anyway. Although Baby did come out looking pretty cool I'd rather hold out for the eventual inevitable Rocky and Rambo DXs and of course the BTTF guys.

I had to pass on Beto's awesome Beetlejuice tonight due to cost. Would be a jewel in the collection, but at $900. . .I've gotta draw the line somewhere.

Beetlejuice is pretty high on my 1/6 wants but I think I can wait it out a bit. Three years ago I never would've thought I'd have versions of Reeves Supes and '89 Bats & Joker on my shelf. Not by Hot Toys at least.

it has massive base, besides that it looks like the others - sizewise, but i could be wrong - anyhoo, not for me. Shipping and tax would drive the price srsly up.

Classic as in the staue or the hot toys one? The HT one is awesome.
Im waiting for the new Pred statue and I'm nervous, he is getting no love at all

Yes I really like it but too small of a statue withba too big price. So pass, I think this statue will be less later on down the road. Maybe 400.00 sounds about right saying if they make like 1000 of them or more.

agree - it's nice, but it's not 500usd nice and it didn't have the 'bats pf impact' on me (few things do, which is nice or i would be a poor man).

Well I am new and right now I have money for one of two statues I am eyeing.
1) Captain America The First Avenger PF
2) Skaar PF
Honestly, I go back and forth a bit. Cap I can get some great deals on , he will probably look great with the Batman and Superman i am getting, and I loved the movie. While Skaar seems to be the statue of the year, I love the sculpt, and he will probably go up more in value.

So I have to pass on one ... DOH

I'd buy that one but I question statue's paint jobs, casts, and details from the Philippines. However my grail Logan is from there.
