What I got for Christmas...

We bought a 50 inch tv with HD on installments, ouch!!!
So far we watched Hellboy, Awesome, and White Christmas my fav.

My husband bought me Elf, Talladega Nights, Destroy all monsters and
This island Earth. Plus he bought me some beautiful diamond earrings.

Plus Darth Maul came on Friday.
Super Christmas.

Wonderful! Every household should have a big screen tv! We got a new home theater system for ourselves for Christmas. Got the tv 2 years ago. Nothin like LOTR on that big screen with good surround sound!

"The Winston Effect: Art and History of Stan Winston Studios"

If you are a film buff, you MUST buy this book!!! It has everything Winston has done from T2 to Monster Squad to the Burger King costume!!! I didn't even know Stan was responsible for that creepy-a** mascot!!!

I also got $50 cash that I'll be putting toward a saving fund for a Medicom ROTS Darth Vader


From my wife's family, that's a sore spot. They bought her a Cuisinart pot/pan set for $150 and snubbed me with a $25 mall gift card. My wife is fuming mad over it while I just consider the source. We've had a very rocky history (they really never liked me much), and they look down on me with disdain over my collecting habits. My mother-in-law has already flat-out told me that she's not going to buy me "toys" (i.e. - 1/6 scale collectibles) for holidays because she thinks it's dumb.

Oh well...consider the source, I guess. At least I was able to buy myself a crapload of SSC stuff over the last two weeks!!! Woo-hoo!!!!

Meh, so far this year I didn't get much because I get a lot all through the year.

From the parents I got a new watch, they are paying for Maul, an Outback Bowl shirt (and damn do those sell fast), candy and lotto tickets.

I was informed by my two friends that I exchange gifts with that they couldn't get ANYTHING I had requested so this should be interesting.

And I have yet to find out what I get from my sister, brother in law and their kids.

However with so much comming in January (hopefully before Jan 14) it will be Christmas in January for me.

I was really suprised to learn that my Christmas wish that I had sent into Sideshow was granted. I have spent the last two years away from home and away from my family. This year I was able to be there with them and be home for Christmas, which for me was the greatest gift of all. I had sent in a wish to the Mistress for a regular edition Premium Format Lurtz as I had one on order but had to cancel it. We went away for about five days and upon my return I found a Fed Ex door tag for a package that I was not expecting. I was finally able to pick it up today and freaked out when the girl behind the counter handed me an Exclusive Edition Premium Format Lurtz!!!! There was even a nice little card packed inside from the Mistress.

I got a 12" Exclusive Bespin Han from my wife and some Gentle Giant stuff from my in-laws. Sweet. Filled some holes in my collection that I was just too lazy to fill on my own. Also nabbed a sweet gift card to Lowe's from my folks - which I'm gonna use for stuff to help keep my toy empire temperature controlled. Woot!

Damn, congrats man but I also asked for a Premium format figure- The Punisher that never arrived. I guess they thought I had been naughty this year.

I got my Did Samurai that I have been desperate so long to get, unfortunately I received a broken one. I also got a box of candy, 12" Xander, a Star Trek ornament, jeans, and some money which I'll use to pay for Bib Fortuna.
