Is a predator maquette a statue or a action figure? I'm looking to order on the SS site but can't tell if the tracking predator and the berserker predator is a statue or a figure. Lmk thanks for any info.

It is a statue. If Hot Toys makes it, then chances are it is an action figure. If Sideshow makes it, then (with this line, anyway) chances are it is a statue.

^^ >>>>> Terrible

You can tell by looking at it...Predator figures have multiple exposed joints for posing, statues/maquettes don't.

Well, most don't anyway. Some older PFs like Robocop had joints, but that's atypical. Certainly, you have fewer options for display with statues.

Great I ordered an was really worried I might have bottom an action figure which I do not want. I want a statue. This forum is so helpful for newbies like me. Thanks so much. Btw did anyone here order the same? I ordered berserker predator so far. The tracking predator I see the same one for SS and hot toys? It's the same pose too. So do both of them have the same statue/ figure set?

Well he was asking about Predator maquettes specifically and none of those have joints. It would also be noted in the product description.

Go to this page: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4488&license=Predator|Predators&ref=HZ2_BbL_Predator-Feature

Anything listed under Maquette, Statue or PF is a statue stay away from the Sixth Scale Figures.

Technically, a statue is a figure, just not one with many (if any) joints. An articulated figure is what you will conventionally think of as a "figure." Statues just aren't "action figures." Premium Format statues are frequently referred to as "Premium Format Figures" even though they don't have joints most of the time:

Maybe need to show pictures of comiquette hulk,PF hulk and the new maquette hulk that going to come out to show a difference in the pieces

lots of research goes into this hobby. :lecture

Yes I'm still learning everyday about these statues. As long as it's not a hot toys type figure is movable I'm ok. It's so tricky sometimes because of the similar height and weight for the statues and figures. Im also wondering is this predator movie line new and just got release? There's so many predators out at once it confusing the he'll out of me.

In the Falconer Maquette description, it says it's a full-figure study, as opposed to it being a bust. That just means you're getting the entire body as opposed to a bust where you only get the head, etc.

This is the Falconer Maquette, fully sculpted statue:

Premium Format = statue with mixed media (cloth, rubber etc..)
Maquette=statue. Usually of a movie character. Can have mixed media also.
Comiquette= statue of comic characters.
Statue= A general word used for anything that is a static piece you don't play with.
1/6 figure,Action figure,doll, Hot Toy= a figure with more than 4 articulation points.
Figure = its actually a general term for all of the above but, most generally call 1/6 figures, figures. Call them dolls or toys and you get wet willys from half the forum.
PFs,maquettes, comiquettes are usually called what they are. Same goes for the Legendary Figures but, basically they are a mix of maquettes and large PFs.
Hope that helps some.

One more..
"Kit" = Statues that come unassembled & unpainted.
