Not 1:6, but....When I was a kid, I used to take my broken Gi Joes apart and make them into new characters. I'd do alot of head swapping too, making masked figures become unmasked versions. The thumbs broke off easy on some of the older ones, so I'd add blood effects via red model paint & pretend they lost thumbs in battle (some even had bandages added to broken areas)These were the ARAH Joes..Snake eyes, Storm Shadow, Duke, etc. That was my 1st experiences with customizing.

those were the days.

My first real custom from scratch was my Conan the Crappy :lol :monkey4 :

I am not sure if it qualifies as a kitbash or a custom (or if there is any difference) but my first was my Ghost Anakin (headsculpt by DarrenCarnall and painted by DA).

This was my first... a zombie jock.

awesome custom dude, but what the hell is that flesh coloured thing in the trouser region???

my 1st and last custom was a battle-damaging of the neca 12" crow figure. it was poo. i never did anything again. but i would like to learn how to sculpt properly one day.

:lol You are the second person to ask that question... he came with a towel, so I just weathered it and added back to the figure. The picture is just a bit unfortunate in it looks suggestive :lol

This topic belongs in the "Customs & Original Art Discussion" forum. The "Commissions" forum was set up so we could find the various orders threads without difficulty. I hope a mod will move this thread.

:lecture

That said, mine was Frodo. And the horse he rode in on.

Of course, I complete very few customs because it always seems more sensible to let Les complete it for me. :D

I guess this was my first all over job, in as much as there was sculpting on the blaster, needle work on the suit and paint on the armour. Up till then Id done a bit of all three but none on one figure.
