Does "movie" count as a genre lol.

Action/Adventure and stealth only when its not like Hitman or splinter cell where its trial and error. That ____s really gets on my nerve

Survival Horror

Think that would be under 3d action/adventure. Resident Evil. Dammit, survival horror! I needed like 20 poll options. I also left out shooting as I think 1 person would pick that.

And I left out puzzle because, yes I'll say it, if your favorite video games are tetris and mindsweeper you are not a real video game player.

Oh no you didn't.

minesweeper is amazing, i think that would fall under strategy though. I chose turn based RPG, its the only thing I can pick up and play these days.

Turn based strategy but that wasn't an option so I just chose turn based RPG because often strategy games will incorporate RPG elements.

Action/Adventure and FPS. That's pretty much all I play, actually -- COD, Bond, Clancy, Arkham, Assassin's Creed, GOW, Uncharted, etc., etc. I enjoy killing people and breaking things ... with as little complication as possible. I prefer single-player to multiplayer, so I haven't tried Battlefield. May give it a shot eventually, though.

I've tried an RPG or two. They just take too much time. I get maybe a few hours every couple of weeks to play anything. I'd like guns blazing (or swords flying or ninja-skills unleashed) within 5-minutes of me turning the system on. Massively multiplayer I just skip altogether. Never could get much into fighting games. Pretty repetitive. I'm going to give the DC one a shot, though -- mostly just because its DC.

I used to play sports games a bunch. Not as much lately, though. Just got bored with them, I guess. You play one Madden game, you've played them all.

Probably MMO. It combines the character progression and storytelling of RPG's with the cooperative and competitive (in the case of PVP) gameplay of other multiplayer games like first person shooters.

You left out pure Adventure titles, point-click or any other variation. Ex. Myst, The Longest Journey, Grim Fandango, Broken Sword, Lucasarts games, Sierra games, SCUMM games, Shenmue, etc etc.

That'd be my vote. I suppose action/adventure titles would come second. With platforming and all that.
