Anything the Coen Brothers make
I know, I know...... people Love their movies, they are supposed to be really great, maybe I really just don't get it

but, any time I see a movie from them, I Cringe, Fargo, Burn After Reading, A Serious Man...
I tried to watch them with an open mind, but, I just can't see what's so good about them... I won't ever watch any of these again,

Hairspray, RENT, Hedwing and the Angry Inch, Repo..i have absolute hatred for these movies.

Hate is a strong word, but I find those Twilight movies to be utterly banal, pointless and limp. I saw part of one, waiting for the story to get interesting, and waiting for Kristin Stewart to show some depth or presence, and it never happened.
Also, Dazed and Confused.-Complete waste of time.

Back to the Future (trilogy) - Alex Keaton and time travel. Original, witty concept ruined by a tired, overplayed character.

Eric Roberts would at least brought a different perspective to McFly than Fox :monkey3

I didn't know Eric Roberts was up for the role. I know the production started with Eric Stoltz, but they felt that the movie was getting too heavy, and they wanted it to be a comedy. C. Thomas Howell told the story on his Radio show. He is a friend of Stoltz, who met him the night he got fired from the project. I agree, though, that Eric Roberts WOULD have made it a different movie.

No fully formed human likes those movies.

This should belong in the "I hate" thread. I hate when people paint with such a broad brush. I've watched them with my wife and I think they were decent flicks. They may not be cinematic master pieces but they have a huge following. The series so far has grossed 2,505,499,622. Yea I know, box office take doesn't equal a good movie, blah, blah, blah. Series is a cash cow for the distributor and in the end, most companies are looking at profit.

There are a few Coen Brothers movies that really ticked me off. Maybe "hate" isn't the right word, but "disappointment" sure is.

It's such a shame, because some of their movies I freaking LOVE ... Raising Arizona, Hudsucker Proxy, True Grit, Big Lebowski, Blood Simple, Miller's Crossing, O Brother ...

But then they'll do stuff like Intollerable Cruelty, Ladykillers, A Serious Man and Burn After Reading that just leave me fuming. I mean, everybody is entitled to their fair share of misfires, but when these guys miss the mark (for me anyway) they miss by a wide margin.

I haven't seen those, I might,

I will admit No country for old men was okay, I did like the bad guy,
I just, I don't know they seem so full of themselves, I think that's another thing that turns me off, and like burn after reading, I kept thinking WTF is this about? WTF?

I understand people liking their movies, that's fine, but like, they are regarded as like these great amazing guys, I keep thinking, not really

The Rambo movies, never liked any of them except maybe the newest one (only reason is lots of gore).

Infact most new movies these days.

Well, i'm sorry then.

I mean, I can appreciate pieces of ____, if they bring something interesting. But I can't think of anything they bring. I've only seen one, and was bored out of my mind. But, I remembered they are made for teenage girls. That's who they're made for.

Not for me. So I ignore them.

I will admit that after repeat viewings of the Watchmen movie that it is at least tolerable for me.

I really didn't care for Kick Ass though. It had some really funny stuff in it, but overall I don't think I'll ever watch it a second time.

You should see Super. It was probably the flick you wanted Kick-Ass to be. :D

Darker, still funny, but in a different way.
