I've used a lot of colors but for me grey (find a shade you like) works best as it is a relaxing color by itself and it makes any color either in a statue or picture or whatever stand out when it is against it and the color of the wall never stands out.

:nono:nono

no no NAMsan, that is very gay Indeed, the rainbow= gay

So in Hawaiian culture, the rainbow isn't seen as symbolic of the ethnic mosaic which makes up the unique culture of the state, but is, instead, gay, meaning Kahalaopuna, the Rainbow Maiden was actually gay? And being the Rainbow state, everybody there is gay as well?

Does that also mean that the "Biblical sign of God's promise" is gay?

LOL of course the rainbow Is not Gay, I'm just saying people that wear rainbow things or use the rainbow colors is usually gay, like the parades and such,

so it was quite interesting you suggested, :lol:lol

Not the least bit surprised you, of all freaks, would associate it with gayness. :lol

I would go for a nice warm but neutral color for 2 or 3 walls and then a bold accent color on the rest. Looks great to have a pop of color but not overwhelming.

The color depends alot on the complementary color of the furniture and display stands/cases you'll use for displaying your collection.

You can look at my collection pics and see I tried to balance it all out with earth tones. Gives a soothing feel without making the space feel smaller. But then again, it's hard to make 1500+ sq ft look small, lol.

in all honesty i think lighter colors show toys and statues better, except white,
lighter tones of colors like blue or grey,

Not a poll.

I want to know what you guys and gals think are the best colours to paint a room that is a collection display/entertainment room.

I was thinking about going with light grey or eggshell white, but I want to know your opinions.

I would go with eggshell or a little darker. It would also depend on what your display cabinets are made of and their color. Funiture as well.

I think they only way I'd go with gray is if you have a more modern looking room, with a lot of white, chrome, metal, etc.

If by entertainment you mean you're going to be watching tv or film in the room you need to go with darker colors. If it's purely a collection/play room you should go lighter.

I was going to use this answer, but since Wofford already did, I'll just quote him instead. :clap
