The Phantom Menace, I was 11 when it came out and at the time i thought it was the most amazing thing ive ever seen.

I obviously think quite differently now

Oh and Ghost Rider 2. That was one of my most anticipated.

Neveldine and Taylor doing a big movie? Nicolas Cage? HOLY **** WHAT COULD EVER GO WRONG.

:(

Hey, Cage is great when he has the right director controlling him.

Raising Arizona is a classic. So is Con Air, and Face Off is fun.

And Bad Lieutenant is hilariously underrated.

But when he's controlled incorrectly....

For me easily batman returns. I was too young to see it at the cinema as it had a 15 certificate over here and I was so desperate to see it. Trying to think of ways I could sneak in to the cinema or something. Got the VHS that Christmas and thought it was the greatest thing ever.
Later when batman forever came out I apparently (though I don't remember this) told my younger cousin it was "the greatest film ever made" haha. Although I would have only been about 12.

The only other film I remember having that amount of excitement for was the dark knight rises. Weirdly I was more let down by that than by the other two. Not that they were better films, just that those lived up to my excitement at the time, and dark knight rises didn't.

Because you were an adult. I loved BF and BR as a kid as much (or more than) B89. I did enjoy TDKR, but only on the second viewing. The direction it went in was totally jarring from what we all expected. Although had I been an adult for those others, I'd probably have been let down too... They're radical departures from what B89 established.

Oh yeah I totally get why it was, I don't think at all that batman forever is better than the dark knight rises. :lol just that as a kid I was super excited and was blown away by it. I suppose for a kid it was a brilliant interpretation. Then basically had the same excitement for Rises, but was quite let down. Not to say I didn't enjoy the film, I just don't think it was as good as I was expecting. Saw it three times and my opinion never really changed, I was underwhelmed. It was good, but by no means as good as I'd hoped.

Actually I was hugely excited for Prometheus as well. Trailers looked amazing, but again was massively let down. The only movie that didn't disappoint me this summer was amazing spider-man. Not saying it was the best film, just that it lived up to my expectations and was everything I was hoping it would be.

I wasn't let down at all. Everyone was *****ing like crazy by that point, so much so, I was expecting a super confusing movie about religion.

What I got was a straight forward movie with faulty characters, and a messy script. But it wasn't at all confusing.

And I agree, Spider-Man was everything I thought it was going to be. :lol.....

Haha, yeah I thought I'd get that exact response about spider-man. :lol I get a lot of people didn't like it and that's cool, I really enjoyed it though.

I'd actually tried to avoid a lot of stuff to do with Prometheus before hand because I didn't wanna be spoiled by anything. Just going by the trailers though I just expected a really great, intense, terrifying sci fi movie. What I felt I got was just a really boring sequence of scenes that didn't engage me or interest me in the slightest. But again, I get some people liked it and that's fine. Each to their own. :peace

The first Resident Evil movie (le sigh...)

The first Silent Hill movie (le sigh...)

AVP

Jurassic Park.

Same here for me. same here...

I would actually add Resident Evil Apocalypse to the list because Of Nemesis.

and I would add The Lost World as well.

Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises
Casino Royale
Skyfall
Iron Man
The Avengers
Spider-man 1-3
KotCS
Star Wars Episodes II and III

There are a lot of classics that I wish I could've been there to experience on the silver screen, but, unfortunately, I came out a bit too late.:lol Suffice it to say, I would **** a brick if I ever had the chance to see Batman 89 on the big screen.

the most anticipated movie of my entire life that I had to see before I died was Matrix Reloaded. Not only because of the hype but I never even thought they would do more than one movie, so when news that 2 more sequels were planned I was ecstatic. I had to watch that movie, I just had to.

Same with AVP, Alien vs Predator... who wasn't excited?

Well, my Freak buds that know me know that my all time favorite film is Jurassic Park! I watched the heck out of it in theaters back in 1993 (6 times in the regular, and 4 in the dollar theater!). I waited anxiously for the VHS to come out, bought the laserdisc later, then DVD, and then Blu-ray. Well, now Steven Spielberg is re-releasing it again in IMAX 3D. So I freaked out! That is my most anticipated film (again).

The icing on the cake (literally) is that it is coming out on my birthday! No joke!

Easily Prometheus. 33 years of rich mystery and anticipation. Sometimes I still can't believe it happened. In a month it will have been a year since the first trailer. So much speculation. All of the promotional videos, then the official trailer in March...most exciting time of my life.

AvP would be second.

Speaking of Jurassic Park, I can't remember where..but I came across some article online which stated that they're making a fourth? And that originally there was going to be a fourth one made a few years back with human/dino hybrid monsters running around. Dunno if any of that is true or not.

Lord of the Rings
The Dark Knight
The Matrix
Terminator 2
Starship Troopers
Man of Steel
Superman Returns
The Hobbit
Prometheus
New King Conan movie that was just announced
