Medicom. Best version in semi 1/6 scale.

Agreed - the Medicom is REALLY accurate. A bit small, but basically looks like an articulated Marmit.

As for my tops (of what I've got in my collection):

1) Sideshow 1:1 bust
2) Cinemaquette
3) Marmit "Stoop"
4) Sano Full Figure
5) HCG 1:1 Figure
6) Poseidon Young 1/3 Kit

I also REALLY like the original Palisades Alien bust.

Palisades Space Jockey !

I actually own the prototype to this piece. It's unpainted, so you can see all the detail. It's really spectacular - probably Palisade's best. Also, I should give and honorable mention to the REAL Concept Giger Alien and the Giger Alien on Pedestal - very nice, albeit very rare.

#1 for me is my custom 1/1 HCG Alien Bust, but I may be biased in that decision! ;)

#2 Fewture Takeya Big Chap (very stylized, but still technically 'Alien')
#3 Autographed Alien Bust (as seen from above posts)
#4 Marmit "stoop"
#5 Attakus Alien Eggs (individual or 3 egg)

I should give props to the following though:
1. Medicom RAH Alien
-- extremely accurate (minus paint job and portrait view --
2. Revoltech Alien 001
-- really nice sculpt for something so small like the Konami Shokugan blind box figurine -- especially where the doe is concerned
3. Aoshima / Skynet Alien
-- nice dome again
4. Kenner 5" alien (from Alien vs Predator two-pack)
--the first of the new classic aliens released in the U.S. -- a solid figure
5. Palisades plaque
--the plaque was an even better sculpt than the palisades statue

I happy to have the HT Big Chap even though he dosent seem to get a lot of love around here...

I have a lot of mixed feelings about the HT version....it was obviously sculpted by the one who sculpted the bust which is a great interpretation...but HT being known for a better than average screen likeness for faces created the Alien with a lot of assumptions in terms of details. I just feel like they didn't do their homework, and there's an awful lot of reference photos out there...

The quality of the toy is almost second to none, but the fidelity is average at best. I appreciate that the artist even changed the skull in response to the public's opinion toward the preliminary photos of the prototype....

I like that it is deffierent in a way, but when yhou place this one next to the Medicom, though usually HT kick's Medicos collective butt in terms of likeness (see Jack Sparrow), they didn't do so well for the Big Chap...the Medicom is superior in terms of likeness...

I have a feeling that they'll retackle the ALIEN once more, and I have a feeling that it will be second to none by then...

Well for me..the reports of these HT figures deteriorating over time were scary, even more so now when HT prices are higher then back then. So if they do release another Alien figure and they dont change the material or method then its going to be a waste of $200+.

I want new Medicom Alien as the old one looks awesome.

I don't own all of these, but from what I've seen these are my favorites, in no particular order:

- Roswell Yoshihiko Sano Statue
- Marmit B Statue
- NECA Kyle "Tankman" 9" figure (don't ask me why, but for some reason I like the proportions better on the smaller figure)
- Medicom figure
- Palisades Wall Plaque (the round one)

Roswell 1/5 (just cause of accuracy alone)
SS 1/4 Maquette
CM Alien
Roswell 1/3 bust
Neca fig

I vote at least on these 2:

1) Medicom RAH Alien (I absolutely love this one! It IS the alien from the movie)

2) Revoltech Alien (they did an amazing job)

And BTW, I have the Neca one and I hate it... not the big one, but the standard scale one.

The medicom is amazingly similar to the sano....check put the pix on the dano thread I put up today...theres aforced petspective of the medicom w the sano....other than the head n wrists, almost identical!...also revoltech in the group shot

Checked them, cool collection and pics, looks great :hi5: .

I seen the Medicom RAH Alien for $220 shipped.
So tempted!

When I bought mine I paid a total of 150 euros, brand new. I definitely recommend it, but I wouldn't leave it in a very dinamic pose because they've done it according to what they do in the movie, it's a rubber suit on a figure just as it is a rubber suit in a man on the movie. I think the only thing which isn't very accurate it's that all the fingers are separate from the others while at the movie he has 2 individual fingers plus 4 together 2 for 2. Not sure I explained well, English is not my main language...

Here's 2 old photos of mine:
