Iron Men are the most toyish and simplistic looking of Hot Toys entire output. They don't show the best of their talents, which is why its hilarious that they make up the largest portion of what they sell now.
I don't know if I agree with this one. Have you seen any of their more recent Iron Men in-hand? They are extremely complex and impressive, in some ways similar to the way the Endo is in that they are engineered so well. They do have some drawbacks though in that all the Stark likenesses suck, and they completely upgrade their Iron Man figures with every release, essentially making previous ones obsolete. It really is a line meant to have little staying power, which isn't the case so much with other lines, though we have seen lots of re-releases in the Terminator and Batman lines.

As for why folks haven't picked any. . .those guys don't leave the Marvel section :lol

I have to agree with karamozov. The Mark 1 2.0 looks very intricate. It's high on my WTB list.

There's exceptions of course, your Mark Is and your Iron Mongers, but for the most part its just variations of a red and gold robot. They look simplistic. It doesn't look like as much work and care is required to go into them as a human figure, particularly one like Jack Sparrow with those outfits.

Ironman is the hype sir, I guess he is the darth vader in modern age.

Weeelll... Iron Man is a slick but one-dimensional action hero movie that will be all but forgotten in five years. On the other hand Darth Vader is the principal villain in one of the greatest screen stories ever told, and in a franchise that has endured, and continues to endure, after 30+ years.

There cannot be a comparison between Vader, one of the most iconic villains of all times, and Iron Man, no matter how cool looking the latter might be.

That's not how you spell Star Wars! ;)

Hot Toys didn't make any SW figure that I'm interested in alas (Luke is cool, but not my focus). The fact that HT contributed to the SS Stormtrooper for example, doesn't mean they showed everything what they can do unfortunately, and the result is a SS figure with a lot of accuracy issues and a floppy body.

BTW look at my signature pic: Endo-trooper, hope one day to make a custom of that. :)

Dx07 Luke and DX Sparrow are two of HT's best figures- I'm not going by my favorite license- just the best figures I think they have done.

You guys are right! In this era though ironman are the best sci fic film there... Maybe there aren't any classics in the making these days... :panic:

It's close

between these guys.

All has as much iconic status as Vader, yet Vader has no Hot Toy.

Superman looks great, but the visible joints on Hulk are too visible IMO. Too bad rubber bodies suck, especially for this kind of characters.

Ironman's already reached Legend status while Darth Vader still stucked with iconic.

Face it, if Ironman were just another pop culture he wouldn't have made pass Ironman 2. 5 years on he's still Hot like Iron.

I understand Ironman has foreshadowed many other heroes like Batman & Superman and many fans are not happy about it.

Haters gonna hate.

Not sure if Iron Man will ever achieve the iconic statue Vader has (and SW after all).

Wow. :lol

Spoken like a true potato.
