When XBOX releases it next gen console

keep playing my 360. There's still tons of play on it and new game tech to be developed with this system. I hope a new console isn't released for several years.

Too soon to tell, as Mesa pointed out I think developers haven't tapped the Xbox's true potential yet.

I'd get it on the first day. But I still think the next 360 and PS are still a few years away (at least). This generation still has a long ways to go I think before they release the new systems. Hell, people are still buying and playing PS2 games....


There were rumors that Microsoft was going to release an add on to the 360 instead of a whole new console. But those are just rumors.

I would get it as well, but definitely not right away considering the technical issues the 360 had. And like the others have said, I think the 360 still has a lot of life left in it.

Ill wait and save untill some real good games come out on it. Untill then Ill keep playing my 360. Unless Halo 4 or a Gears 3/4 is a launch title and then Ill be all over it.

shoot, some of the last games released on the old xbox were incredible, I think there was still life in that system that went unrealized.

It will depend on launch titles. I usually get the systems at launch but if there are no games or no major upgrades, I don't see the point.

I just got my first PS3 game worth keeping (Uncharted) and this system has been out for 2 years.

That makes a lot of sense though. I mean if they aren't forced to rush out Gears 3 you figure 2010 for GOW 3 and possibly a new Xbox.

There wasn't a "Will not purchase, happy with my current 360" option. I don't see myself purchasing any new next gen gaming system. Have both an Elite 360 and PS3, and I am very happy with them.

I mean how much of improvement can there really be? Most games are already playing at 720p and even 1080p. Especially for the higher price tag they will obviously go for.

Microsoft might bring a new console out before we expect.
They have seen the success the Wii has had, even though it's a bit of a gimmic machine with poor graphics and most of the good games are made by Nintendo.
They might want improve on motion gaming with next gen graphics. Unlike nintendo, microsoft would give third party's full reign to bring out top of line motion games. Just imagine what Epic could do with this

I wouldn't be surprised. Microsoft would be smart to have either Gears 3 or Halo 4 be a release title, as it would make more sales for them from the get go. And if the new console is still at least a year or two or more away....then that gives more than enough time for either Bungie or Epic to work on the next installment (if they aren't already).

let's hope not. thats just plain stupid. just ask Sega how it went for them....
