I think the LOTR section has a much more mellow and easygoing vibe, and we tend to respect on another's points without sniping at each other!

It is now at least. But at least Woodsy was good for getting a discussion going. Not much of that going on now. But this may relate more to the goose egg at SDCC than anything else.

Agree. It's always quiet when nothing new's announced for us all to talk about. Wait until the ringwraith maquette is shown and we'll soon be posting in a 50-page topic again

Woodsy is the 'ying' to others 'yang' and the threads certainly had there laughs and teeth clenching moments to keep the balance


Here's hoping it's just a short sabbatical and he'll be back delicately expressing his mild views on all things LOTR and showing his love for WETA wink1

He certainly isn't backwards at coming forwards and I hope he's having at laugh at this thread

I must admit even though i may not always agree with his views i always enjoy reading a bit of Woodsy,he helped me out on some PPO's when he was a member over on the S&F so i know he's a stand up guy,say's it how he see's it and you cant say fairer than that imo

People drop out of this hobby all the time. I find the bigger the collector, the more hardcore the collector, the more dramatic they drop out. Happens all the time with people that spend tons of money on rare, high end stuff and then one day, poof, fire sale. Not saying that is the case here but he was, um, passionate, and that can lead to disgust and burnout pretty quickly.
