Which Anakin Skywalker 12" do you think is the BEST ?

Agreed. I am not a fan of either and I have the Sith Apprentice exclusive. The buck body and the removable arm continuing to fall off is the start of the problems with this guy.

I hope Medicom delivers a good Anakin. Like many of you, Darth Vader / Anakin is Star Wars and I am still awaiting a good figure.

The Sideshow versions are ugly.

If I could only have one it would be the Order of the Jedi version... the best part of the Sith one is the base, but still not a necessary item.

Just wanted to share some hastily taken pics of my Anakin:

I did ask for a pallid look, but in the pics Anakin looks way too washed out...
Other than the Darren Carnall modified HS, I made the pants tighter as well as the sash/belt. Two small things that I think help a lot in the overall look of the figure.

EDIT: I also had the boots dry-brushed with brown.

They are both great. Anakin used to be my fav. SSC SW 12" for a long time (heh... not that hard with all those bad headsculpts - or paint jobs in some cases - they have produced). I tend to go a little more towards the Sith version. Looks a bit better IMO. But if edition size is an issue, you should go for the Order of the Jedi Exclusive version. If you're a die hard, you need both of course. That didn't really help now, did it?

Darren's modified sculpt is the only one I would seriously consider, although from what I've seen the stock Sideshow sculpt isn't that bad if repainted well. This is Darren's version:

And there's another regular Anakin with a BIT of 49.99 (this one ships from the US), so it seems it's not a very expensive or difficult figure to get.

Overall both a pretty sweet figures. The likeness is there but it's a little more subjective I think. Like it or hate it. The Sith version didn't have the loose arm post or the grape kool-aid lips, plus he cme with the cool base. I'd say go for the Sith version first and then work your way after the regular.

I regret never getting Darren's resculpt, that thing is sick!
