Which Hawkeye should SS sculpt?

I would vote for House of M Hawkeye custume

I would love a PF of oldschool Hawkeye. 2nd-3rd year Avengers look. More likely a Bowen deal than SS but I'd like one anyway.

Not enough and until that picture I knew nothing of this version. Looks cool, but I like the old traditional style more. This would make a cool looking 1:6 figure.

Some people just don't like to take in new style of costumes.

I really like costume changes in the comics, but if I'm going to put the cash down on a sculpture I want something that signifies the essence of the character. For me, it's the more traditional look.

Just look at all of the other PFs. Not once have we seen an Ultimate anything. It's all classic characters, in their classic costumes (with the exception of Iron Man, and I'm not unconvinced that we don't have a PF of him in the works in his classic armor).

If we see Hawkeye, it'll be in the classic purple getup with that wretched mask. Wretched. But I'll still buy it.

As for The Ultimates 3, I'll say it again: Jeph Loeb took what was a beautiful retelling of the Avengers mythos by the brilliant Mark Millar, then he drove it off a cliff. Ridiculous title. I found it absolutely horrible in every way imaginable. (And I liked the Clone Wars movie.)

How can you PF IM? Real metal? That would be incredible but...difficult I'd think.

You're right. Doesn't go with the flow of SS doing traditional looks, however, IM is still very recognizable in the current comiquette to even the most uninformed viewer. That Hawkeye...I wouldn't have known who it was. A cool looking character for sure, but limited label recognition.

Goes for the Astonishing X-men, for example. Lots of collectors, here, were bashing the statue because it was not the "known" X-men uniform or the known Beast look but alot of comic book readers appreciated it.

Anyway, i would buy the Traditional look as well. I had fun reading the comics from back then.

Back in the day (70's)I probably read the first 100 issues of every major superhero. To me, those versions ARE that hero. I realize the crowd SS is catering to now though see a different version of most of them. That's cool. I wish I had as much time to read them all now as I did back then. I'd be more "hip".

I would prefer the pseudo Modern version that David Finch usually draws. Its slightly more appealing IMHO then the classic 60s version, the thing is I think I would prefer the "metal" arm than the standard look without.

I would definitely get a 1:6th scale version of the old school costume, big face mask and all. A bigger version of the Famous Covers one.
