Wor, so good to see ya, didn't know you were a Marvel fan! :duff

Yeah, I've enjoyed most of the movies except Iron Man 3 and Thor: Dark World didn't really grab me. Winter Soldier really surprised me how much I enjoyed that one. I fully expect to like Avengers 2. Although, I'm not expecting it to eclipse the first.

I just don't collect too many of the figures. I have 3 Iron Men (Mk I, V, and VI) and Loki. Had planned to get Hulk and VII but fell out of the mood by the time it arrived. Maybe Avengers 2 will pull me back in.

I really like Ultron in the teaser. "Pull the string, pull the string!".... wait, that's not him....

I had said after already having Python and Silver Centurion and picking up the new Mark III next year I would be done with Iron Men at three... but that Mark XLIII is going to be very very tempting. If it comes down to it one of the IM3 figures may have to go.

Other than that Cap will be a maybe due to passing on his WS version.

Ultron does seem like he'll finally be a worthy opponent. Not really sure Iron Man, Thor or Captain America has yet had a worth opponent.

Marvel is in desperate need of a truly great movie Villain.

I would put Red Skull in that category. Hopefully he'll re-appear sooner or later and reinforce that idea. He should be more of a competent, and fearsome threat than Ultron, or really anyone else Marvel Studios could use apart from Thanos himself.

Ultron has always been a wide-spanning threat hence why he's an Avengers villain and not just a Captain America villain (sorry Red Skull).

It's just no one has been able to write/characterize him in a convincing and modernized way when stacked against the popular heroes of the Marvel U. It's exactly the reason why I'm hoping that Joss Whedon really delivers in this film, and from what we've been getting from the trailers so far, I'm very convinced that it might just happen.

I think he's got a serious chance, thanks to Whedon and Spader (and the character, itself). Although I was initially wowed with the first Avengers, seeing it in the theatre (95% of movies I wait to VOD), it was definitely less interesting to me when I VOD'd it six or eight months later (still have yet to watch it for a third time). Age of Ultron, on the other hand, is really grabbing me. It'll have to be a colossal ****-up for me not to watch it a couple times in theatre and get the Blu-Ray. Love everything I've read and seen, so far.

I'd also like to see an Strucker figure as well from HT, hell there are a lot of figures HT I'd like them to make in order to flush out my collection: Abomination, Batroc the Leaper, Malekith and Kurse, etc.

I could not agree more! I'd love hot toys to do those 4 guys plus ronan and nebula

Who is in this pantheon beside Terminator and Robocop?

^^^ wait -- Batty is a replicant, not a robot in the traditional sense. Terminator (endo) is as close to a robot as you can get.

And Short Circuit shouldn't be anywhere near this debate.

Seriously, what's the modern list of kick ass robots? I'm curious.

I'm not sure I would lump Batty and Ash in there, even if they are designed and assembled in 'robot' fashion. They are more like bio-bots.

Does bad ass = villains? Or are we talking general awesomeness?

If it's not limited to villains there will be a ton.

I would classify Batty as a robot. Perhaps not in the strictest sense of the word, but maybe we need to define terms?

Let's go with villains. Or maybe we can throw in antiheroes as well.
