Which Hot Toys Infinity War figures will you buy?

I doubt they will. Hot Toys loves milking Marvel, but I think even they know that Wanda won't sell if the only change is the stand and a different hair color. The cost to make a whole new range of figures with the stand, the hair color change, and a new box, probably wouldn't pay off for them financially. Most people wouldn't order the whole figure, they'd just buy the sculpt on ebay.

Lol people stop with this silly notion that they will put a 2-pack of anything. There is no precedence for it so I dunno why the idea keeps getting tossed around like it's a possibility.

On another note, the new Cap body looks pretty good. The suit looks more form-fitting, kinda similar to the 10 Year Anniversary MCU version of Cap. Still not completely sold on that bearded head sculpt though, something seems off...

As much as I loved the look for bearded Cap I will probably pass since he doesn't have it in the next film and wouldn't be a definitive version of movie Steve.

He does have the scale mail in promo art and it's probably his last appearance in A4 so I will get that version instead

I am debating Thor, Groot and Rocket though, as they were my favorite group in the film.

Agreed. And like you I have all three to date. But I seriously couldn't justify getting Infinity Wanda just for a hair colour. Loki is my favourite MCU character and it will always bug me that I'll never have the Avengers figure, but I also couldn't buy an Infinity figure if they released it unless there was something truly special about it. Anyone wanting that Infinity look for him might as well just buy another Ragnarok figure and pose him with the Tesseract.. When I used to frequent the Terminator sub-forum, serious collectors used to buy two of each Terminator figure to mix and match his movie looks. (Most Terminator figures come with enough battle damaged parts and weapons that you can recreate multiple looks)

I think they have done it a few times but pretty rare. Demon batman and scarecrow, which were two figures in two boxes but you had to buy both, at least thats how i remember it, the michael Jackson thriller, the stealth and civilian captain america, the stormtrooper 2 pack, the han and chewy 2 packs, the hulk banner set, etc. It isnt much cheaper to go that route though.

Thor is pre-ordered, and I'm considering Doctor Strange.

Don't think I'll bother with Spidey or Thanos since their outfits will change a lot in A4

Yeah there's no way I could justify buying a whole new figure just for a new hair color. If I was going to get her, Hot Toys would have to make it seriously worth spending the money on. But I mean, I just don't think there's enough accessories Wanda actually uses to justify the cost to produce the figure (for Hot Toys) or purchase for me.

Not sold on Cap...the sculpt just doesn't quite do it for me (I haven't been able to look at it the same since reading the Rick Grimes comments on here, lol)...and there's not much else going on to make it worth the punt.

That said, I won't rule it out completely...should the final product reveals show an improved likeness to Chris Evans, then I might re-consider.

Sorry to hear you lost some figures in a fire, that most certainly sucks. I think people are ruling out Wanda because she's a less popular character than somebody like Doctor Strange. That being said at this point I'm expecting Hot Toys to just pump out as many Infinity War figures as possible because it's like printing money for them. Or maybe we will see a Vision/Wanda 2 pack?

You could try for the knockoff sculpt and civilian outfit to hold you over until the next version comes out. onesixthkit probably still has some. I'm thinking of getting the nano tech suit and ko stark head.

Am really sorry to hear you went through an awful experience like that.

(Popcultcha still has Ultron Wanda - a bit high re U.S. original cost - but not off the charts. You can source different costumes.)

For me - if a figure is a real fav I am all for having duplicates. Especially if enough was included you can get a really different look on display; or it's fairly easy to source accessories to change it up (for me Cap, Bucky, and BP have fallen into that category). The new Doctor Strange got changed up - but personally I didn't see any reason to get another when I have the first version, which IMO is great.

Love Wanda in these films but - for me it would be a duplicate except for hair color. I guess a lot of us have the CW Wanda and it's not like BW where the costume/accessories are different along with the hair. I've actually got some 1/6 clothes I think I could do a reasonable kitbash with for SW.

It's just spending the money when you hafta CHOOSE with all the SDCC stuff coming out. Then there's folks who have collections represented by only one of each character, ever. For me this version of Wanda isn't completely off the table.

I'm just not seeing enough there to get super-hyped for a fig I already have except for hair color. But

I mean there's not much to infinity war Dr. Strange when compared to the first figure. He's got more energy effects and different hair. Costume is pretty much the same.

Not hard to imagine them making IW scarlet witch with some new energy effects and a themed base. The only thing that makes me think they won't is I don't think she's as popular a character as Dr.strange is now. Black widow seems to still be the favorite in terms of female figure releases.

So sorry about losing your figure

I'm only ruling out Wanda because I can't justify the cost for a duplicate figure (like Sassafras said) when the only change is her hair color - and this is coming from me, who religiously pre orders Wanda the day she's available. I would rather save the money and put it towards a whole new figure (like IW Bucky) and should they do an IW Wanda, pick up the headsculpt if I feel the need to change my CW figure to an IW figure. I'm not made of money so for me, counting IW Wanda out is simply a financial decision.

I'd like to see a new Bucky, Vision, Wanda and Falcon for Avengers 4. I already have the New Avenger Wanda figure, which I am happy with, but don't have either of the other 3.

I will also be adding Bucky to that list as soon as he's up. Still undecided on the Iron Man Mark L accessories.

Right now I have Mark 50, Hulkbuster 2.0, War Machine 4, Cap, Iron Spider and Doctor Strsnge preordered.

I'm considering Thanos and Thor, and Bucky if he is available.

I'll probably end up with Black Widow.
