I'm a waiter at Applebee's, feel free to ask me anything on the menu.

We did away with the fried green tomato and turkey club. Only had it on the menu too for about a month, it was delicious.

I'd say the two items that we sell the most is the spinach artichoke dip and the oriental chicken salad. Women usually get the salad because they think its healthier. Well they're wrong! One little ramekin of dressing has 750 calories. They also always choose grilled chicken over fried on the salad! Those deluded fools! The grilled chicken comes drizzled with a very unhealthy sweet teriyaki glaze. *****es.

So which restaurant do you prefer? I actually like Chili's better. Lol. At Applebee's we have mozzarella sticks and Chili's had fried cheese. We have a 2 for $20 menu, Chili's has a $20 for 2 menu. Ha!

Btw - I'm not throwing Cheesecake Factory or CPK in there because they're more expensive. If Red Robin or the Ground Round were still around I'd throw em in. Also no Outback because its a bit different kind of restaurant.

Btw 2 - I haven't had a single person order the orange chicken for the past 6 months. Not popular.

I go to Applebee's once in a while. I'm kind of peeved at their increasing prices on old menu items though. The Bourbon steak used to cost around $12 a few years ago, but now it sells for $20. Needless to say, it still tastes the same and looks the same.

hey solidus my moms a bartender at Applebees that's pretty funny ha ha ha how long you been there? she works at the Chelmsford Massachusetts store .

We just slightly raised the price of everything on the menu. So, we also bought all new plates, bowls, etc. They look fancier so people will think their money is better spent.

Actually, they just make it look like you get more. The plates and bowls are huge!

It's funny how far in L.A. you have to travel to go to one of these places...I don't believe any of these exist in West Los Angeles, only out in the burbs.
When I went to NYC, these places were all over the place...so I have tried all of 'em.
My list:

1. TGIF is at the top of the list (but nothing to shake a stick at)
2. Applebee's for some reason gave me the chits, bad memories.
3. Chilis was horrible...tried one in Diamond Bar...burger was dry and tiny.

I never get a hamburger at a resturant. Most don't taste any better than at a fast food place and are more expensive. If I want a hamburger, I'll go there.

I love eating out. :)

For some reason the burgers at Chili's have 100+ more calories than our most unhealthy burger, the Quesidilla Burger, ~1,450 calories. The burgers at Chili's start there and go up to slightly over 2,000 calories. My manager says it's the quality of beef. Makes sense.
