Political/Historical was the category I figured I'd actually buy if they came out. Gandhi, Jackie Robinson (who I do not consider just a sports figure), Eleanor Roosevelt, Bobby Kennedy, Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King, Muhammad Ali (also more than a sports figure). These are things I'd really buy if they were done the Hot Toys way. They could call the line "World Citizens."
With TV series, most of what would truly interest me would not be from today's shows but yesterday's. A Bret Maverick or a Jim Rockford and Angel, or Hawkeye, Col Potter and Radar, or the trio from the original Fugitive (David Janssen, Barry Morse and Bill Raisch). There's not much from today's shows I'd want..."Bones" does not interest me. "Raising the Bar" does not interest me. "CSI: Miami" really, really doesn't interest me. (Well okay, if they made SVU's Olivia, Mariska Hargitay, sure.
)
But otherwise, my choices would be from classics, and for many, there's not even clarity about who owns it, to approach for a license, so I figure this ain't gonna happen in a way I'd care about so...Political/Historical it is.
