Stuck in a 50/50 deadlock on which gets the axe.
Up for discussion is Daredevil, and the Sue Storm piece.

Daredevil: I'm worried about the scale if I paired it with Elektra.
Also I thought I was fine with the lazy hand but it still bugs me a little.

Sue: Ive read the back and forth debate and I think the sculpt looks fantastic, just the pose is not dynamic.
Having a tough time wondering which would be harder to get down the road. In both cases the Ex and Regs are both Sold out. Typically this close to release a lot of pieces of the regular are still available.

Any opinions?

Personally I would go with the DD comiquette. I actualy have the EX preordered and quite frankly I love the vertical design of the statue, the shadow look to DD in the art print that comes with the EX, the attention to detail on the base and the sculpt as a whole for the DD character. I take nothing away from the Sue Storm statue, but I'm not a huge fan of her character and the statue itself doesn't do anything spectacular IMO to warrant making it a must have for my collection.

An easy way to help make this decision is which character do you actually like more? When you buy statues of characters you actually like (barring the statue design itself isn't horrid ect...) you can't go wrong and will be happy with your purchase.

Can't tell you what to do, but I don't see either of these going up in price very much. I would keep Daredevil b/c he's a cooler character, but I'm actually holding off until a 1/4 scale version is released.

I wouldn't cancel any of them because of the NRD, BUT if I really had to cancel one it would certainly be Sue Comiquette.
First, because the EX is a print that you could "print" yourself but above all, believe me, when you have more 10 prints you really begin to get tired of them. DD's change-of-portrait is far more interesting IMO (and will be more valuable if that interests you). Furthermore, Sue is a rather boring design and doesn't have any other companion pieces as DD does (Elektra, Bullseye), and who knows, there might be a future PF on the way.

Just my 2cents. :wave

Agreed J :hi5:

Don't cancel either....

Get both of them, then choose one you'd like to keep. It is much better to do that after you see it in person....

If you sell privately you'll probably get your money back , maybe even more....or you can just send back to Sideshow and get a refund...

But I think it is important to make a decision after you see it up close and personal....

Cheers

Cancel Daredevil, and get the Bowen Daredevil on Gargoyle instead (a far superior sculpt IMHO).
Keep Sue, as most collectors are looking for female characters. This particular piece is going to knock your socks off "in person". Photos don't do her heaving bust line any justice.

Cancel Sue Storm, i've never been a fan of her masculine face and uninspired pose.

but the issue of scale is a tricky on and cannot be over-looked, because inconsistencies in scale drive the most level-headed collectors insane. I personally would keep DD...display Elektra further back on the shelf and DD closer to the front giving it the illusion that they are perfectly in scale.

Asthetically speaking the DD comiquette blows Sue Storm comiquette out of the water. Such a beautiful piece. If i collected Sideshow MARVEL, i would be all over the DD comiquette.

I LOVE Bowen's Marvel statues, but i prefer this DD Comiquette over Bowen's Action DD on gargoyle.

Sue Storm is Hotter but DD is the better character. But I actually like the Sue Storm"s pose and I am not thrilled with DD. Just looks a bit off. yes Sue's pose is not dynamic but it's a strong pose. She looks like she is about ready to show off some kick ass powers.

I think it has to go down to which character you better. If you like both equally then Sue Storm gets my vote. Someone sais that thought her face look like a man's. I don't agree.

Another thing to think about is where you can display DD. Due to his pose he looks like he needs to be displayed higher up for the best results. Due to the extreme lean over pose he will be hard to fully see at lower display levels.

Anything Lower then eye level will lose the statues effectiveness.

But higher then Eye level will be pretty cool.
