I know i am late posting here...but just got Gandalf the Grey myself and man he looks good ....you can;t go wrong with the Grey :yess:
Personally don't like gandalf the White at all...his face is....i don't know its like Santa from an angle :lol

I own both. Got The Grey at MSRP. He's great.

I got The White exclusive for only $150 on ebay mint in box.

I have to say, IMO, that the negativity towards Gandalf the White is unjustified. In person he looks great. The tailoring is fantastic. I like him just as much as my Grey.

i didnt know there were negativity around the white. Grey is better, but white isnt anything bad. I had the exclusive, it looked great with the silk robe. If you want to talk about a negative PF...look no further than galadriel...

anyway it's all water under the bridge, as i got rid of all the PF except the gollum.

I have both and enjoy both for their own qualities. Maybe start with GTG just because GTW's value doesn't seem to be moving, but GTG could become the next one to push toward double or triple MSRP.

Well after all of the advise I just picked up a Gandalf the Grey PF Exclusive!!!

mine arrived today :clap postage was $$$ cause i had to get it on Ebay but Gandalf The Grey PF is 10/10 :hi5:

GTG is a much nicer statue. GTW looks better in person than I thought it would from SS's promo pics but still not as iconic.

They both are good, GTW is misunderstood, when viewed in person it is very nice with the intricate silk cloth and nice ex with glamdring in hand. I cant find anything wrong with it...and you guys know how picky i am :) At <$200 it's a bargain if you collect lotr PF.

oh god i sound like josh now! :lol

I normally agree with you gagaliya, but in this case, for me the GTW while is super in the tailoring :clap, really falls down in the head sculpt and paint department :(...even in-hand I find it disappointing :(...sorry mate...to each their own I guess...OH NO!...this must mean I'm even pickier than you! :rotfl...who knew? :rotfl

lol i might have to double check then, just going off this by memory the thing is in my storage unit. But i remember the face sculpt/paint wasnt bad, his face was a bit thin than the movie gandalf but overall i was ok with it.

I had it in mind to do this custom at one stage.

But I fell in love with the bust and they are way too expensive now. :(

GTG was my first ever PF and still my favourite. Just a great iconic pose and is instantly recognizable:)
