The first one is fantastic the others are enjoyable but you get the feeling they're just milking it. But the first one 100% get it, the artworks stunning as well. It won an Eisner award

Yeh man, I mostly treasure the 2nd 4 issues of Aliens, the 1st 4 issues of Predator and the 1st 5 issues of AVP, both for the story and for the most beautiful cover arts ever especially the Aliens ones.

The novel AvP:prey (the adaptation of the first comic) is one of my favourite books of all time as well
the interaction between Machiko and Dachande was so well written you feel really bad that he doesn't make it

I read Superman and Batman vs. Alien and Predator in the library awhile back. Didn't like it one bit.

You are very right, Superman and Batman vs Alien and Predator was one heaping pile of bull^^^^. Though I can't really regret the time wasted since I read both volumes while I was on the toilet.

Yeh it was great, AvP War was fantastic and quite original too. Get to see Machiko fighting back for her humanity after being part of a Predator hunting clan.

:lol:lol:lol why did they change the book covers to make them even worse :huh

You know... I have no clue. The AVP:prey cover is the WORST! Look at how the Predator is reacting!!! He's like, "Ah, crap. It's an Alien." Makes me think if it was a snippet from the movie he'd be played (at least the voice) by Ben Stein. You know, the game show guy, Ferris Bueller, "Clear Eyes are awesome." - that guy.

That's correct Broken Tusk is his human name. His Yautja name is Yeyinde he also has a Yautja nickname of Dachande which means "Different Knife"
Damn, dude.. how do you know? Is this in the comics? I have not read all of them yet. I'm still working on the Predator series.. Thanks for the info...

Awe.. I see now.. He was in AVP comics.. Cool! I can't wait to read that comic series..

more info:

"On reaching Ryushi, the eggs hatch and infect rhynths. Led by a Predator elder, Broken Tusk, the Predators arrive expecting to encounter Aliens. However, they soon run into the settlers and, after Broken Tusk is incapacitated, change their plans and hunt them instead."

I have most of the Predator, AvP run myself.....just need a few here and there. I'm going to get the novels as well and give them a look see.

Yeah, i kind of scored off ebay with this one dude who had complete sets. I bought all of his stock.. I still need a lot of AVP series. I'm anxious to see if i will see some different predators in these comics.. Most of the ones i've read, have the same armor + weapons. I want to atleast see a different BIO helmet or something :)

Where did you download? I just got some of the omnibus books and I am loving them. Hard to beat 3 for $25 shipped.:joy
I think he probably downloaded torrent files.. I tried that initially but the connection kept timing out and besides, i kind of wanted the comics in hand.

Started reading AVP books -just finished the first one in New York--Hard jungle i think--now I am rereading The Hobbit:emperor
