That would be a funny thought but actually not true,he got the part for Rocky because he was too damn stubborn to let anyone use it without him playing the main character,he refused to sell it...

He wrote the script after he saw a Muhammed Ali match against Chuck Wepner,a real bum in the ring but went the distance.This explains why Apollo Creed is so much alike Ali,the arrogance,the style.

I went with Rambo. I like both for the movies but, Rocky Balboa is a dumb guy compared to John Rambo.

Yes you are right and both characters do have good intentions which makes you like them even more but don't forget that Rocky becomes more mentally liberated in the later films and what Mickey calls "Civilized"

Rocky changes over the films in terms of intelligence so its not 100% accurate to say that "Rocky" is dumber compared to John Rambo.
