Who is/was the best Superman?

I think Cavill would have been better in a different kind of Superman movie.

Then again, same could be said about Routh . . .


Reeve was in Superman flicks that were far worse than SR and MoS . . . and yet he still retains that great, iconic Superman image. I think that says a lot. Even with those horrid turds he still came out of it clean and untarnished. Cavill and Routh just seem like caretakers whereas Reeve and Reeves embodied and personified the role.

Dunno, it's too early to say Cavill's just a caretaker, not that is a bad thing, Routh was definitely a caretaker and he did a great job, but Cavill still has much to prove.

Personally, despite the opinion people may have on MoS itself, the moment I saw Cavill on the trailers I immediately thought "That's Superman".
