Who would be interested in a DX Robocop

I regret selling mine so I'd be all for getting a DX version. One of HT's best to begin with. A full reveal helmet with accurate likeness would be sweet.

the ht robocop was one of my most highly sought-after grails. i finally got one late last year. am very happy with it.

but if they ever did a dx version with lots of extras and a battle-damaged armour, i would probably get it.

I for one really would love to see Hot Toys take on the Robocop license again to give us an awesome version of Robocop especially seeing that they've pretty much mastered the metallic paint apps with the new BD Mark III

robo's original paint apps were just fine. the metallic sheen was even better than the iron man mark II and III. it's the skin texturing and headsculpt that have improved by leaps and bounds. so a more realistic face is a certainty. however, i don't see ht securing weller's likeness. so the face would be a generic one again.

i'm hoping for a ed-209. i wish they release an anniversary edition for the robocop line.

You could display him either way; battle damaged or standard MKIII. If HT does another RoboCop, I think this is the best way to go as you have your choice of a clean or battle damaged version. I still don't see Weller changing his mind about his likeness. Doubt anything's gonna change that so it's just a pipe dream. The DX features are pretty much worthless here too.

Even the "clean" parts of this Iron Man aren't all that perfect looking. They show minor wear, which distinguishes it from the previous release.

wow, there's never been a topic like this posted before. i just typed that sarcastically.

but, for the sake of argument, we'll say Robocop made a billion $$ in the box office like Dark Knight did. and that enough people are willing to pay through the nose for a Robocop DX figure for HT to produce it.

now with that said, i already have the 1st HT figure and it's pretty cool.
and the only way i'd want a DX version is of it had Weller's likeness.
since we're in fantasy land anyway, what the hell, i say HT should also make his chair thingy for a nice diorama piece too.

I would totally pre-order an updated Robocop DX or re-release. What they did for the Mark III would be perfect. Weller likeness or not, it doesn't matter since I'll only be displaying it with the mask on.

ED-209 needs a re-release as well with a hard plastic non deteriorating dome and updated paint job.

Pers i pretty much one of the dx lines main features ...so if they do release a new robocop ..how about just a regular mms release but with lots of accessories.. like they did with blade and battle dam m3 because pers is wasted on any character who never shows there eyes ..it would be a waste of a dx slot in my opinion ..id say the same about characters like watchmens rorschach ..if he was made no one would pose him without mask no matter how good a sculpt, so i hate it it when people also ask for a dx release of him 2.

I think a lot of freaks are under the misconception that "DX" means he comes with a lot of ____. Hopefully, the MJ has opened their eyes, proving that to be a DX, a product need only contain a PERS head, light up stand, pretty box and hefty price tag. Either that, or it's just the new "go-to" HT fanboy label when making an HT wishlist thread.

...or maybe open ROBOCOP to the new/younger generation to get the fanbox booming to reconsider opening the line. not many peeps KNOW robocop like we do, i guess(crap, i sound old). :]

How the hell is it outdated?! He's still one of THE most impressive figures HT's ever put out.

Me and Nam don't agree on much but this I'm 100% behind. Robo is still one of the best they've ever done. To me, its technical design is almost on par with the IM Mark III.

I like the DX idea, but like Nam said, the PERS wouldn't mean much to this figure.

Seriously pers on robocop!? ..that would be such a waist .. thats the same as pers were on xmen cyclops ..or daredevil!
Pers work best on characters known for there facial expressions ..jack sparrow comes 2 mind.
