I had this photo on my HD that I remember was posted up by someone on here ages back, and I'd love to know who's it was, and If he ever got around to finishing it as I think It's the best smiling Depp heads that I've ever seen. The fact you can tell who it's meant to be even though theres no hair speaks volumes to me.

It was someone who posted alot of work - I remember that for some reason.
Maybe xenoviper ???.... maybe not ??! :lol

Either way fantastic sculpt ! :rock

Nah it's not mine ... it's by a legend ... Imaresqd1 (GQAK) :monkey5

thats definitely the best smile jack sparrow ive seen... even better than Kojun's ver IMHO

Thanks for the info guys.

It's ashame that he's not around as much as he used to be. I'm sure If he finished that a lot of folks would be interested in buying a copy of the head, even without any hair. I know I would!!

It would take a little imagination to picture this as Johnny Depp. It's great work. As it is now, it looks like Powder.

Nah, I can see a likeness there even without the hair. You have to look beyond the superficiality of the lack of hair and at the features themselves. It really is a very good likeness indeed you know. :D

It'd be a great head for a number of his roles... not just sparrow. I'd love to see a great 1/6 Edward Scissorhands, one of my favorite movies.

Good call GB, that sculpt would be an excellent base for a Scissorhands custom. Making that costume of his would be a challenge, tho. Yikes. :google

Making that costume would be a bloody nightmare! Think of all the buckles you'd need for start off! :rotfl

Yeah, it sounds like an enormous amount of work! Then there's all the scissors for his hands, which would have to be functional, of course! :monkey4

What a magnificent figure it would be with all that work into it, tho... and with this great head sculpt as a base! :rock

Medicom do lovely figures, but the small scale is a real turn off for me personally.

Yeah, and if I'm not mistaken the outfit was pretty simplified as well. Don't think it would really hold-up to current standards. I'd love it if HT was able to take a crack at Burton properties, lot of cool possibilities there.
