I've been in the 1/6 hobby/business for many years now and
there's still one Pistol that I have never seen done right.

The Walther modern pistol line has been nearly forgotten by 1/6 companies.
I'm not talking the smaller PPK Bond guns, I mean the few
full size pistols that are common all over the world and used in many
films.

It's not that Hot Toys didn't try with one of the Black Widow compact pistols.
It's obviously modeled after the P99 Compact.

But still off a bit in some of the lines and the signature barrel housing front.

For some reason, it's that certain shape and distinct barrel housing
up front, that no one has really done right.

Why is this?

Is it because Walther keeps an eye out on all 1/6 pistols to make sure
no one makes one without them getting their share. Or has someone done
a Walther justice and I just missed it some how.

If so, does someone have pictures of a Walther style 1/6 pistol
that resembles a P99 or PK380 or even the Glock like PPX.

I think some 1/6 pistols look like the PPX, but miss that front barrel housing style that
all modern Walther's have.

I just spent like 2 hours going through about 1000 pictures of
1/6 pistols and found only the HT Black Widow pistol to be close on
the compact model. But nothing on the other full size Walthers.

Ever since we did our Selene figure I really wanted 1/6 pistols that
were really Walthers. The P99 with laser sights and 2-tone is what
Walther's Selene used. Even all the other companies that released their own Selene
like figures, still didn't get the pistols right.

Is it just me or can someone prove me wrong with some pictures.
Because I would really like to see one, if I missed it some how.

The Legacy Pierce Brosnan Bond came with a P99, it may look a little rough but might look better painted up:

Dragon also made a great P99, the slide is even spring loaded and has a removable laser:

By the way, I looked up Black Widow from IM2 and Avengers, she never carried a P99. In IM2 she had a H&K USP and a Walther PPK/s, in Avengers she carried two Glock 26 pistols.

That might explain why Hot Toys didn't succeed with their Black Widow releases. :lol

I don't recall seeing her with the PPK. It looked more like the PPS below.

The P99 compact and the PPS look simular.
I think the PPS took the place of the P99 compact. It just looked more like the P99c with the little flip on the end of the grip.
So that's why I came to the conclusion is was modeled after it.

I know she used Glocks as well and it almost looks like some customs pistols were made.
Because they look like the GLock 26's with a Walter grip or clip on it with the little flip on the end.
Which is more of a Walther signature look than glock.

I suppose it is possible glock has a simular clip with the flip on the end, but I was not aware that they did.
The screen shots that I've seen show the side of a glock 26 with the Walther clip with the flip on the end.
So maybe they're custom.

Do you have any of those in your possession?

If so, how about a picture of the front of the pistol, like it was pointing
at us.??

I own both but the Legacy Bond is boxed up at the moment and I'm not going to go digging around for it. The Dragon P99 looks like this:

Sorry I couldn't get you a better image than that but hopefully you can see enough detail.

I got my info from IMFDB, they even have stills from the film:

Yeah, sorry, I was commenting on the stills from them.
It looks like the glock on the top & barrel but has the Walter
clip with the flip on the end. You can see it poking
out just below her pinky finger in one of the pictures.

That's why I thought they're maybe custom guns and
not just Glock 26's. That way they wouldn't be like either
and the studio wouldn't have to pay to use them.

That's why I also stated maybe the glock had a clip like that too, but
I've never seen them on a glock.
