I've been in the 1/6 hobby/business for many years now and
there's still one Pistol that I have never seen done right.
The Walther modern pistol line has been nearly forgotten by 1/6 companies.
I'm not talking the smaller PPK Bond guns, I mean the few
full size pistols that are common all over the world and used in many
films.
It's not that Hot Toys didn't try with one of the Black Widow compact pistols.
It's obviously modeled after the P99 Compact.
But still off a bit in some of the lines and the signature barrel housing front.
For some reason, it's that certain shape and distinct barrel housing
up front, that no one has really done right.
Why is this?
Is it because Walther keeps an eye out on all 1/6 pistols to make sure
no one makes one without them getting their share. Or has someone done
a Walther justice and I just missed it some how.
If so, does someone have pictures of a Walther style 1/6 pistol
that resembles a P99 or PK380 or even the Glock like PPX.
I think some 1/6 pistols look like the PPX, but miss that front barrel housing style that
all modern Walther's have.
I just spent like 2 hours going through about 1000 pictures of
1/6 pistols and found only the HT Black Widow pistol to be close on
the compact model. But nothing on the other full size Walthers.
Ever since we did our Selene figure I really wanted 1/6 pistols that
were really Walthers. The P99 with laser sights and 2-tone is what
Walther's Selene used. Even all the other companies that released their own Selene
like figures, still didn't get the pistols right.
Is it just me or can someone prove me wrong with some pictures.
Because I would really like to see one, if I missed it some how.
