why do some SS brown shipper has a giant X?

I noticed this quite a few times now, a lot of sideshow brownshipper has a giant X across the entire box.

why?

Those are the boxes that have mouse pee on them

Good question. My guess would be that the HUGE X might mean 'don't pile stuff on top of this or it might collapse'...or something to that effect.

Yeah some of my boxes have a big x on both sides corner to corner in red felt marker.

I've ordered lots of Hot Toys figures over the years from Sideshow, and never had a box with a "X". Maybe you should call them up and ask them.

bleh no way, a lot of them are brand new statues i ordered directly from sideshow. They cant be returns.

I've always understood it to mean it was an item with a low Edition size number on it. Anytime I've received an item with a Red X its been under 25.

I've seen that on most of my PFs, but I don't think I've seen them on any 1/6 stuff. And almost all of my PFs are exclusives. Don't know if that's why though.

Darkness Premium Format Ex # 90


That's all fine and dandy, but in looking through my premium format boxes I came across one other box that has a red X one it, Darkness Premium Format Ex # 79. Strange thing is, I dont own a Darkness Premium Format Ex # 79.
