I truly never think Baze would be made by HT, he doesn't even have a Black Series figure. That's a figure that I'd like a 3rd party to take on at this point since a Cassian has a pretty good chance with the series.
What happened to HT. Even though the film isn't liked by a lot of people, I'd love to see a battle damaged Carl from Terminator Dark Fate instead of this ********.

Hot Toys are all about lifelike figures for me.
Imagine releasing this, and not the DST or Baze.

Yeah totally. I was chatting with by buyer in HK. I asked him if Harley Quinn is popular in China or why so many variants ? I mean for Suicide Squad we had probably 3-4, then a couple for Birds of Prey, now a video game version. He said he never received a lot of orders, in fact Star Wars had higher order numbers than Harley Quinn.......
That just made me angry !!!!
Probably a Howard favourite I imagine ??

Has to be that the licence is dirt cheap.
This truely is an awful figure for what the asking price will be.
Regarding Baze, I remember when he was first revealed and the film had yet to reach the cinema.
I was a bit meh towards it to begin with.
On the other hand Captain Phasma and the Snowtrooper from TFA looked amazing.
I pre ordered the Snowtrooper and 'thank heavens', held off on Phasma till seeing the film.
Baze was a superb character in the best Star Wars film since ROTJ.
Phasma was Jar Jar Binks level bad, in what I thought was a very poor trilogy.
Having got Chirrut, which is a fabulous figure, it is criminal that we do not have a 1/6 Baze to partner him.

It's like they try to keep us hanging, a marketing ploy at best. It entices collectors into buying something else whilst waiting for the "one" they want....
For example C3P0, Cassian and Baze all their companions/counterparts have been produced...next we'll be squealing for Cara Dune to accompany Mandalorian.
Eventually they'll get them made and we'll be happy but by that time they'll have peaked our interest in something else.

The first Harley from SS was one of the better figures HT released. The other 2 from SS are okay. The BoP ones are not as good. I like them overall, maybe because I'm a fan of Margot Robbie. This one, I don't get though, maybe I've been out of the video game world for too long lol.
I've said it before though, HTs knows SW fans have been waiting for years and years for OT and PT figures, why not another year? I don't like that but I expect even more DC figures. They are riding that DC event hype in Japan.
I agree 100% with the above. Unfortunately, Hot Toys has a long history of incomplete lines and missing obvious figure releases.

The only reason I can think of is that Chirrut sold poorly. However, I think Chirrut would have sold better if they announced these two back to back or together.
That would have been the obvious thing to do. Something we know HT does the exact opposite of, intentionally it seems.

Yes the door swings both ways. Many will not buy one figure until they know the obvious counterpart figure is coming.
However I guess this could be one reason why they show prototype figures like Baze at say SDCC. If Chirrut doesn't sell well enough (even with Baze dangling there) to whatever sales metric they have, then Baze doesn't get made ?
They're wrong whatever they do I guess. So we need to play the game and beg them for him now on FB

Positives are look at the secondary price of Rogue One figures.
The popularity has grown greater since the films initial release. I know of fans who thought the film was ok after watching it, and now rave about it.
Where the ST regressed badly with the awful TLJ,
RO has gained more favouritism from an already solid starting point.
I sort of regret not getting K2SO. Though I would have nowhere to put him (I reserved the space for Baze).

I'm sorry I'm a moron, I kept thinking of Bodhi, not Baze. I don't know why reading the last dozen or so messages with my post I kept thinking of Bodhi every time someone said Baze. Disregard!
Bodhi- now that's a Black Series figure we absolutely need. At least then we'll have the entire Rogue One crew in 6" scale.
