Re: Why put a green X over the box info on an exchange?

Srsly? You're mad because a X is on the shipper? I thought you were talking about the product box, not the shipper. Screw em. Those come all marked up from being shipped and would not affect any aftermarket value.

Who said I was mad. Just curious why they do that. It might be something they could change. Makes the box look a little shady, like something was wrong with it.

I would think that dent in the box would be worse than the X.

Well, if this seems to be the consensus, then that's good. The box isn't the collectible, I get that. But, if it makes someone wonder if the item was marked because it was damaged, or defective, that's not exactly what you want on a $300 PF that there's nothing wrong with.

Rex X's indicate a low Edition number... not sure what this means, but again its the shipper so who really cares :huh

Usually when the Ex is lower than 100,don't know about the color some are red others green.

Indeed - I think if its <10. I actually sent in an "Ask Sideshow" about this, but no answer yet.

Traditionally they have been reserved for samples/extras. SS does in fact ask for your edition number (years back they wouldn't) and they then transfer that number to an extra piece; they blue x is a marker for which pieces come in from China unnumbered. Of the three or four statues that I have received with the blue x, most were noticeably better in the paint application.

:dunno

I've got that on EVERY single piece SS has shipped to me since day one. Never asked them what is was for though, kinda curious now.
