The Play is incredibly good.

BUT this really should be one film, breaking it into two films is a pure cash grab and will
Dilute the good story the play had done well

Is it "racist" of me to say I find Cynthia Erivo downright hideous looking? Especially when she has her nose ring in.

I just think she's really ugly, and her race has nothing to do with it.

Especially with the current ozempic anorexia going on with her and Ariana.

The reality is , their attention spans are way too short thanks to social media.

I can feel it happening to me also, Inused to watch a film intently , with total focus.

These days that only happens when I am in the theater,

Believe you me, I had to remain calm when the movie started because I immediately was getting irritated and taken out of the movie because every munchkin was subjected to the annoying modern sensibilities where ONCE AGAIN there had to be every single earth race represented in munchkin land.

Literally there had to be a white, black, brown, south asia pacific, east asian pacific (am I forgetting anybody FFS) munchkin instead of how they were represented in 1939 which is what I want!

But my sisters kept me calm they said just let the movie story play out.

They said relax take a deep breath and don’t worry about that stuff and I was grateful for their advice because the movie did win me over even though that stuff irritates me to no end lol

My culture doesn’t need to be represented in every god damn thing in a god damn FANTASY movie for crying out loud!

Can’t munchinks just be munchkins, hobbits be hobbits, dwarves be dwarves and empire soldiers be empire soldiers as originally depicted!

I just finished watching a Chinese sci-fi fantasy movie and every freaking character was Chinese, SHOCKER!!!

Supposedly if you watch this musical while listening to Dark Side of the Moon backwards and standing on the wall sideways, it's even more satisfying.

Can we just accept that society IS diverse?
That many people are represented and there is nothing wrong with it?

It's not like they shipped in people from other countries to play these roles, these are local actors?

Unless you live in the Midwest where everyone is still basically white, casting is gonna be very diverse in Hollywood.

Even in England , there is enough diversity , especially in larger cities, to make sense to represent?

You’re right I absolutely need my white, latino, black, south asia, mid asia and east asia looking orcs fighting a white, latino, black, south asia, mid asia and east asia army of dwarves!

It’s not like that would ever take me out of the movie or anything.

Because you know a FANTASY world should always be about real life earthly representation first!

I hope MGM goes into the 1939 Wizard of Oz and changes all of those munchkins into adult sized humans from every earthly race and while they’re at it go into LOTR and change all of those hobbits, orcs, uruk-hai, elves, wraiths and humans into every earthly race imaginable.

I demand that be done because me wanting to feel good is more important than their artistic integrity and vision!

I’ve also sent a letter to the president of China I demand he follow your wonderful pie chart there ASAP in their movie productions!
