Problem is, Aquaman is just as bad as BvS but in a completely opposite way.

It's like Aquaman is the PT (bloated, bad acting, crazy CGI)... and BvS is the ST (good acting, but uninteresting and trying too hard to send a message)...

Still waiting for the OT of the DCEU.

Nail on the head.

If you watch the making of MOS, they said that MOS was influenced by the Nolanverse. It was supposed to be a Superman in the real world, and how the people react to an alien, as well how an alien fits in on earth. So it would fit perfectly in the Nolanverse, because even in BvS, the arrival of Sups changed things, it changed Batman, made him more ruthless, so that fits with a Baleman that doesn't believe in killing. That change would mean more if done with Bale because of the trilogy/history, as opposed to a brand new Batman that we've been TOLD has a 20 year history, but we've never seen it.

Yep. And Favreau said multiple times that he looked to Batman Begins for inspiration when making Iron Man. Hell he even copied exact shots like when the hero was off the grid in another country for a while and then did the solitary walk across a runway toward his waiting private jet, lol.

They could have easily brought back Liam Neeson (since his "death" was off-screen anyway) and have him give a speech about these other threats that the League of Shadows has dealt with that Bruce has no idea about (aliens, metahumans, etc.) Or have Lucius Fox tell Bruce about some new tech that they got from the military that was rumored to be designed to respond to otherworldly threats. Neeson and/or Freeman could have easily sold such exposition. Besides, its freaking Batman, we expect this stuff simply because of who he is.

At the end of BB when Gordon mentioned "escalation" and a kooky clown guy no one said, "really? A clown? How silly for this universe," lol. Hell no. We were all just excited to see what the "Nolanverse" version of the Joker would actually be like. And that's what we could have gotten with aliens and metahumans and so forth. No one ever said they had to go full "Avengers." But they could have gone the Spielberg War of the Worlds or District 9 route, which could have been freaking amazing.

Hell the entire opening of BvS with Bruce's view of Superman battling Zod would have fit pretty well within the Nolanverse right there.

I can respect Nolan and/or Bale for not being interested or playing hardball or whatever, but WB should have thrown whatever amount of cash necessary at both of them to at least *try* and just segue from their beloved films directly into an expanded universe.

As has been said there would have been great benefit in Batman having already had this history that we had actually seen, dealing with normal criminals and some of his Rogue's gallery of the more theatrical kind.

With Affleck's Batman, it's alien threats straight away - it's less impactful as a result and then anything else is a dialling-back. It's just not ideal.

Alternatively they should have made a Superman Returns sequel and built the universe on that - the Donner universe essentially. And maybe had a new Batman for that because I definitely don't think Superman Returns fit with the Nolan Batmans in terms of tone.

The BvS movie could have taken place a few years after TDKR, so Batman is either actively fighting crime back in Gotham or still retired. If the film took place right after the TDKR, the arrival of Sups could have been the reason for Batman coming out of retirement. Does Bruce Wayne also returns to Gotham or stay dead? I dont know, but Robin (john blake) could also be in the movie, instead of just showing the costume as a reference to an off screen death. In fact, Baleman becoming more violent, paranoid, and obsessed with Sups could have been one of the reasons Robin becomes Nightwing and has a fallout with Batman. This fanfiction stuff is fun....this power is UNLIMITED! :lol

Video "Exposes" Marvel and Disney Shills Over Aquaman

I actually lol'd at the choice of music they used. :lol

It’s weird. People give crap like gotg, ragnorak and antman a pass cause “muh 80s” but Aquaman gets a hard time lol. Aquaman was pretty much like any other comic book movie but it’s also cause DC made ****** movies and people just rush to hate the movie without seeing it. So it’s DC fault for trying to play catch up so quickly. But hey now they have there iron man in the form of Aquaman

Ragnarok made me laugh; Aquaman didn't, not once.

And I dislike both.

Guardians is sheer brilliance compared to Aquaman. There's no comparison in quality.

Ragnorak made me laugh by how bad it was lol. But I don’t wanna defend Aquaman to much. It was good but didn’t wow me

Have you seen Dr. Strange? They're making a sequel.

It's the only thing worth looking forward to after AEG.

You then lost me at Thor 3...

But regained me at GOTG, which I would rank much, much higher... then lost me with Civil War being anywhere in a Top 10, especially above TWS.

Everything looks better with "The" in front of it. The Star Wars. The Jaws.
