My update only took a few minutes as well. If it's going that slowly then it's gotta be either slow internet or old computer--or both.

I have a 3 year old laptop. I finally got it in, but I'm already hating it. :lol

I'm on AT&T dsl. It blows. It didn't help that it had two failures during the download. :(

LOL, window 7 and 8.1 new update is to install win 10. Now Mr. Green have to get used to the new crap. The edge browser already sucks. Try to click on the back arrow/button, on the second or more tab, and accidently get an image popup/drop down of the first tab. What useless feature. Microsoft is definitely overdoing ****. Favorites is on the right now but he can't resize the length. Thanks Micro****!

I hate Edge too. I'm on IE at home. Edge causes me problems on this board when I'm on it at work.

U know u can just use chrome right?

Chrome and Firefox both work great for me on Windows 10. Firefox is my main browser, the extensions come in really handy.

I avoid anything Google so Chrome is out.

I don't have any problems with IE. Never have. Why add more browsers? The only reason I have Edge is because of the update, which I hate too, but....that's the way it's going. I'll use IE till I can't.

What's stupid is the favorite won't pin after you close edge. The icon is way too large and it doesn't seem to be sizeable. And new tab won't open the same site of your choosing but you only get 3 option. The noticeable good thing is the calculater which have temperature converter and scientific as well.

so you never go on youtube either? ever?

I avoid it when I can, but now you can't always. youtube and my school's emails are tied to it. I hate it because it's just one big ass web of spreading around your ****. Some people don't care about stuff like that, but I do.

And you believe no other site or email provider does the same? Plus you are you deciding to use what in the past has been one of the most vulnerable browsers?

eh.....I'm too lazy to type it all out. I just don't like Google. You guys can love it all you want though.

is not loving google or being google groupies,

Its just that i personally prefer a browser that doesn't break.

If IE works for Ween then that's good, she should stick with what works for her.

But, I've always had a horrible experience with it. If I recall correctly, Microsoft stopped providing security updates for older versions of IE a while back, and they're now trying to phase it out entirely for Edge.

Mentioning Windows 10, did you guys disable all of the necessary privacy-violating features in Settings? Personally, I'd be more concerned about that, than I would about Google.

Mr. Green like youtube on chrome and edge for browsing now but he wonder if he should just avoid edge all together. IE tend to break a lot before Window 10.

im not just joking here but i never ever had a good experience with internet explorer, it would froze, take too long to open pages, crash, gifs would freeze, videos would not buffer corectly, no good add ons
it was just very slow to do things
it wasnt my computer either, other computers at work, IE was always miserable to use

There's a ton of privacy features.

Trouble with other bowsers is that IE works for most of the things I need it for, and the others don't. Some can't use Flash, some can't use Java. IE will work for both. I know they're no longer doing updates for it, but when I can no longer use it, I sure won't be using Edge.

All browsers have their problems. None are perfect.
