I can see a bit of a smiling snarl on his face. Like he just thrashed 20 ninjas and is ready for more on the other side of the bridge.
Come get some, bub!

Please, if it had the same Head Sculpt as the Koto, Which is basically a rip off of the LSF, people would then say it's just a Rip off of the Koto/LSF, in which case they'd be saying why buy it when you can buy either of those which has the same head.
Shame on the sculptor for trying something a bit different, for shame.

I was bored, already had Photoshop up, and wanted to test out my photo retouching /painting skills. Changed the shape of the face, added depth to the mouth, tried to remove overbite, thickened the eyebrows, added hair to the chops to contour the face, and completely redid the nose. This is more in line with what I would've liked to have seen, I guess. The masked sculpt is pretty decent. Oh well.
I think all of your changes look phenomenal. Except for the lip. I think your lip edit looks less realistic than the original. But I like the smaller forehead wider cheekbones and chops.
Yeah, that was definitely the most difficult part. The depth that would normally be there on a person just isn't there because of the nature of sculpting and casting, so I had to improvise! Also, some of those lines that are formed around the top lip just straight up don't exist on people when their mouths are opened that wide (you can see a nice illustration of this in your avatar gif, funnily enough). Also, I found that his tongue is in kind of an odd position - if you're screaming / breathing hard etc with your mouth wide, your tongue is tucked behind your bottom teeth, or at least mine is, maybe I'm weird. Maybe he's using his heightened senses?
If you tense up/flex your neck, my tongue floats in my mouth. But yeah. I definitely understand people's complaint. But I personally like it because he looks more animalistic. This is a picture of a wolverine (animal) snarling, and the more I look at this statue the more it reminds me of this.
Is this a better choice over the XM Wolverine?
XM wolvie gonna cost you 3 times as much and if you want a brown wolverine in 1/4 scale ss is your only choice. If you got the money and don't care about the color of the costume go for the xm. I've always been a brown costume fan and I don't mind the face sculpts. Is this a better choice over the XM Wolverine?

Xm wolvie BEFORE it was sold it out cost me $760 total, with shipping. Now, yes its doubled since then, but just wanted to clarify the pricing as theres always seemingly been a misconception about the cost of these pieces. However as myself and other said if you took this piece and incorporate cost of a possible repaint and the cost of a custom head it would far outweigh whatever XM charges. This is of course if youre unhappy with the current headsculpts..if you like them, more power to u!
