Seriously considering leaving work early on Wednesday so that i can get home and lift up the Wolverine Shipping Box as if it was Simba from the Lion King! :rock2

It's very addictive my next one by fedex will be the deadpool pf so am expecting the addiction to start again soon lol.

I don't think ill be lifting it over my head ill probably drop it and have a smashed head and a smashed wolverine lol

( amazed I couldn't find a pic for that)

Hey Adam, i wish you were getting your Wolvie before me rather than June so you could get straight into your custom sculpt :lol Your above post has got me all excited and i know you'll do a great job my friend. Cant wait for the results and be one of those lucky 10 to have one. Until then, if there is any details you need in regards to the dimensions of the hole where the head fits or if you need specific pics then i'll be more than happy to help you out...:hi5:

Thanks A.....yes I believe you were my first PM for a head.. The guys on here are great! My plan is to use my Wolvie to get size and color scheme correct... Once I have my base head sculpt down, I can fit it to the neck and make sure it's a tight fit...as with SSC's it will have magnets too...:), also I can use my measuring calipers to match it to the existing head...

Sounds fantastic I'm going to be very excited to see the finished head sculpt and won't have mine for a few months so will probably get the head sculpt first :)

:rotfl Dont Worry Ant, i've got arms like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger (hence how i was able to fit in 10 Marvel characters for my full sleeve tattoo!) :yess: :lol

I must admit, looking closely at Alex's video where he zooms into the base and the feet of Wolverine, i cant make out if the terrain has been glossed over to recreate a wet look? Maybe Alex can check this? If not, i would like to maybe add a touch of laquer to where the feet slot in and give it a wet look with possibly some puddle effects. I did this with my Dutch Schaeffer Predator Base....here is a link for it

Looking at this thread all the time makes me want to sell more lol

Sounds fantastic Ads and im sure we'll all be wating in anticipation to see how the project turns out bro :hi5:

Its so simple to do and gives off a great effect, especially when recreating muddy terrain :)

Hey A.. I have to agree with Ant.. that little extra to the base looks great!! Very effective!!!! Nice work!

Thanks Ads :hi5: yeah, i'll have to look at the base more closely when it arrives before i decide what to do. Its always a toughie when deciding whether to customise a $2000 statue, even if it is just the base. :panic:

I think the price will make this a difficult one to customise

:exactly: Yep, that and the rarity of a piece also. I remember thinking the same thing when customising my Iron Man MKIV 1/4 Maquette. A lot of people thought i was nuts to customise that as they are very sought after and i've seen some sell for well over $1000. :panic:

Yeah that's very true and I guess that this will be a smaller scale custom

Id love to see a battle damaged one I think we need more battle damaged wolverines although I think that fully sculpted is better for that

Maybe its something that Adam could incorporate in his ideas for designing the custom head? I have to admit, i wasnt too much of a fan for the Wolvie PF Exclusive Head :( Before i sold it last year, i'd always have the masked head on and left the EX head in its box. Something about the awkwardness of the mouth i think...

Yeah I have to agree I've been considering the idea of getting a custom head for the pf would have pefered a less lip biting face
More like the masked head mouth

Indeed that would make the pefect mouth for an unmasked head it's got berserker rage going on

I remember quite a bit of negativity right at the beginning in regards to the face sculpt of this LSF. I for one dont mind it but a second head (even another masked sculpt) with an opened mouth would have been cool...like you say, to portray a bit of Wolvie rage! Wonder what SSC will do with those 2 other face sculpt concepts? Wish they would paint them and sell them off! :lol

Yeah I like the head looks like wolverine is using his instincts to check out his surrounding on the hunt.
I would be happy if the sold them as an expansion pack.
But a raging head would take this to another level

Here are the pics of the extra head concept designs...I believe the masked one is for the brown/yellow costume??

The first one is a first appearance mask

It would have been a great alternate display 2 costumes for the price of one.
