Yea, I miss when superhero movies had an opening credit and theme, now it's all just logos and jump right into the movie.

No kidding. Might as well not even give them titles and just call them "Marvel 1, 2, 3, 19," etc., since that's all the audience gets to see at the beginning of each film. Even though I didn't care for GOTG2 I'll at least give James Gunn props for filling the screen with that massive title card.

Jye, my friend. I remember when you thought TDKR was good except for a few things. What has changed? Did you watch the movie too many times again?

Sounds like your relationship with TFA. :lol

Oh he changes his mind whenever the wind changes....TDKR is a fine film just not everyone's cup of tea

I eventually saw this - not sure if I gave my 2 cents.

It didn't change my world but it was decent. I loved her first proper ''reveal'' as Wonder Woman - the slo-mo part from the trailer where she goes up that ladder. Very rousing moment as I recall.

The only thing I didn't like was the final battle with Ares - more electrical energy blastwave ***t. I find that visually distracting. And the fight itself was hard to feel invested in. When typical rules of combat go out the window it's just noise on screen with no clear reason for how or why one party gets defeated, it just happens.

I really liked the movie but I agree with the above. When directors/writers can't think of an inspired final duel they seem to default to characters screaming while unleashing all their powers at once in an orgy of CG pyrotechnics. It becomes (quite literally) "white noise."

At least the Doomsday fight had the Kryptonian spear thing. I honestly couldn't tell you what Wonder Woman did to beat Ares.

She just screamed like Ang Lee's Hulk and Jean Grey in every X-Men movie until her opponent was overwhelmed by CGI and passed out.

*but again even saying that I still really liked WW, lol. So she gets a pass for taking the easy road at the end.

Just the 15/70 parts.

How I hated how they'd switch the ratio from shot to shot though. If you're gonna go IMAX you really need to have one entire section be the same ratio and not change it every second. TFA and Hunger Games: Catching Fire were great examples of using the format properly. But that crap with the screen size yo yo'ing back and forth as Bruce chased Bane from the Stock Exchange while cutting back to Selina and Gordon watching on TV in 35mm was just terrible. Some of Gordon's hospital bed shots were even IMAX and other's weren't for heaven's sake. :slap I'm sure the 35mm shots were reshoots but you just can't edit a film that way.

Holy crap dude. :horror

For five long years jye4ever sat on his treasure of flip flopping TDKR opinions. But ZaCHw117 never forgave, and never forgot...
