I had that X-Men game, and it was OK, but I think "incredible" is going a little far :lol But even assuming that it was, the vast majority of comic video games over time have sucked horribly. There are exceptions, but they are just that. Being a comic fan even as a small child, I was constantly disappointed when superhero-based games were released. Anyone remember X-Men for the NES? Justice League Task Force? Avengers on the Genesis? :monkey4

Crappy? That X-Men game on Genesis was INCREDIBLE! Might be the best X-Men game to date, imo.

Superman on N64, however, is often heralded as the worst game ever made.

I'd argue that X-Men 2 on the Genesis was even better. More characters to play as (including Magneto!), considerably better graphics and awesome boss battles (Apocalypse FTW). It was everything the first game was, and then some.

Oh, and I read Aquaman on the original Xbox just might take the crown of worst comic-related videogame in history, but I've never played it or Superman N64 so I can't really say which is worse.

The worst one I played was Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge on the Genesis. Horrible, horrible game.

The ones I enjoyed the most were:

Amazing Spider-Man vs. the Kingpin (Sega CD)
Spider-Man 2 (Xbox)
Hulk Ultimate Destruction (Xbox)
Incredible Hulk (Xbox 360)

Haven't played Batman Arkham Asylum yet, but I hear that one's also quite good.

Lots of people rant about how the Spiderman games for the SNES (Maximum Carnage, etc.) were good, but I never thought they were anything special as a kid. I thought Arcade's Revenge was the pits, though. I also had Spiderman for Gameboy :monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

By the time the Xbox/PS2/Gamecube came around, we started getting genuinely good comic-based games (particularly the X-Men Legends/Ultimate Alliance series), but there wasn't much around prior to that. Arkham Asylum is amazing. What a Batman game really should be.

Dude? What? Avengers is one of the greatest games ever made. I played the arcade game all of the time!!

"You will not escape!" " You'll be the one escaping!!"

"Thank you.... Wonder man!!"

I'd Say Assassins Creed 2 had a Massive WTF moment for me
I'm still stumped too this day about the ending

I just finished the game yesterday and didn't find the ending confusing at all. I can PM you my interpretation, if you'd like.

Yeah its definitely one of those WTF moments. I got what they were laying out, but it was totally off the deep end.

Luckily, I had watched the extras on the Stargate blu-ray recently, so I had that whole Chariots of the Gods thing fresh in my mind as I was playing the game.

I received Assassin's Creed 2 as a present for Christmas, and I still haven't opened it :lol. I've been just too busy on Modern Warfare 2, and Batman: Arkham Asylum.

But, the ending for the first Assassin's Creed left a big WTF feeling for me. I thought to myself, is this the DaVinci Code videogame?

By the way, thank you VERY MUCH for not revealing any spoilers.
