Has anyone ever purchased a leather strap from Ajs belts before? I ordered mine on december 1 and I still haven't received it yet. I've dealt with them before with no problems but there customer service is awful. They never respond to phone calls or emails and I would like an update on it.

My buddy has purchased the leather straps for 3 of his replica belts from ajs on separate occasions. Usually it had taken 2-3 weeks. The last belt strap (red for his WCW Tag Team) that he ordered around Thanksgiving finally arrived last week. Unsure if there is a delay because of the holidays. I agree that their customer service isn't the greatest...but they've always come though on their orders. I'd still try calling to see if they could give you an update.

So, my second Winged Eagle Replica belt came in and once again, I am blown away at how cool these belts are. The bad news is that the dust bag it arrived in has the new WWE symbol on it. I thought it was supposed to be the old school yellow block lettering logo. Can anybody who recently purchased a Winged Eagle replica confirm if they received the same bag, or did the factory put my belt in the wrong bag.

I will try and post some pics soon. This is not a huge deal, but I still think they made a mistake.

My Classic IC came in a bag with the old style letting yellow logo.

Maybe Figs Inc ran out of those bags and sent those Winged Eagles w/ the new bags as a rush order for WWEShop.com. They did sell out during the sale. Interested to see if you both ordered the belts after the initial sellout...

Mine came in a new logo bag.

As I thought, this is just craptastic.

I am not sure what is going on, but these are not just substitute bags, as you can tell that is was shaped and made specifically for the design of the Winged Eagle. It does not make sense that they would use the new style logo.:slap

I have included a photo below:

The top bag is my Intercontinental belt, which came in the classic Big Block lettering. Ordered: Nov 2010

The middle belt is my old Winged Eagle that I bought off Ebay. It is has Commemorative WrestleMania stamp on it, but it still has the classic Big Block lettering. Date: 2006

The bottom is the new Winged Eagle. Notice the shape and how it is meant to fit a Winged Eagle perfectly. Very odd. I was hoping for a bag simillar to the Interncontiental. In the end I don't really use these things, but like Sideshow boxes, at the very least I would like the item and packaging to match:slap

This is my WHC commemorative replica belt. Ignore the posters around it :) You won't really notice the difference with the more expensive replica belt until you touch it and hold it.

Btw has anyone bought the commemorative intercontinental belt? I would love to see pictures of it. I don't have a lot of cash so I'm settling for the commemorative line

Come back:wave:1-1:

You should post some pics. I have heard they look EXACTLY the same.

They are similar, i used to have the commemorative spinner but sold it a while back. There are a good fiew differences from the metal version, the gold colour is different (the metal one is more shiney), the metal around the edge of the mainplate is silver on the metal ones but gold on the plastic version, and the plastic fake leather strap is really bad on the commemorative version.

The one plus the plastic belt has over the metal one is that the spinner plate locks in place making it more accurate to the version of the belt used since No Mercy 2007. The metal belt continually spins, just like the original Cena belt.

Here's my old commemorative belt in the middle of some of my metal belts...

it's hard to tell on this photo, but if you look closely on the spinner, there is a silver tip that i added to make it more accurate to the version of the belt Orton introduced in his second reign...

That's true, the commemorative belt isn't as shiny as the real one. It actually fades a bit ... what can I say beggars can't be choosers :(

The commemorative belt is great if it's only for display... as a display piece it's a far cheaper option.

I've flirted with the idea of picking up a commemorative U.S belt and penny Tags, i just want to see a fiew reviews first so i can see how they have turned out... if they look pretty good i might get them for display.

Could just be new bags that Figures Inc is using. They do change bags from time to time...

Nice belt collection Corporal!! :clap:hi5::clap

Not a fan of the Commemorative Belts. I was lucky enough to have Wrestling Superstore nearby in Cranston, RI (before they moved to Florida). They had a physical store that you could go in and check out. In the back (away from a massive display of the adult replica belts that they had available), they had a setup of the World Heavyweight and the Spinner Commemorative. The straps weren't what they were advertising and completely different than the straps that you see on replicas. After awhile, I saw fading and cracks with the Spinner in particular. The World Heavyweight didn't look bad at all. I saw more of a difference between reg and comm Spinner belts.

While the new commemorative belts are tempting for the price, I'd assume wait and spend the money on an adult replica. Especially with the sales that WWE.com had not too long ago. I couldn't pass up a current Intercontinental Belt for $182 shipped vs spending $130 (plus tax and shipping) on a downgraded plastic belt. If you don't have the money for an adult replica, than commemorative is def the way to go. I'm just waiting for that next sale from that site...I want to add the Million $ Belt, WWE US, & WWE Penny Tags next...

Hi guys, was really pleased to find this forum as i wanted to pick up a replica belt myself. I watch WWE occasionally these days but not as much as i used to in the classic 80s and 90s era. I was at a show in MSG in New York on the 26th and i saw some guys with the classic WWF intercontinental belt and thats always been my favourite one so when i saw it for 300 dollars on the wwe site i was pretty excited! But i found out its synthetic leather with cardboard in the middle which i suppose it was never going to be exactly the same as the real title belt for 300dollars.
But after reading the foruma and finding out AJs do a full leather strap i think i might go that way. At this point im not sure if i am going to have a full collection so i might spend a bit extra to get the releather. Has anyone tried AJs releather, and good? Does anyone know what the plates are made out of on these belts?

This audio page helped me. It is worth a listen if you are trying to distinguish between the belts. I also saw a video where somebody cuts into a regular belt to show the cardboard insert, but I can't seem to find it. To be honest, the simulated leather sounds worse then it really is. I think most people would mistaken it for top grade leather just because of how stiff it is; what I am trying to say is that although it is simulated, it feels like quality.
