Again...out of context...I'm talking about World War Hulk here...not stupid, dumb child like Hulk.Did any of you read World War Hulk? Homos.

Dosnt matter what version of Hulk you talk about the outcome will always be the same....Supes would own him.

Marvel has changed and evolved throughout the years, especially recently. Cap is dead, Civil War and its aftermath echoes in issues today, Tony Stark is Director of SHIELD, mutants are an endangered species, unregistered superheroes are illegal, the list goes on and on.

DC for the most parts remains the same...the most crucial thing they did was just bring back the Multiverse. The ONLY monthly comic that is noteworthy by DC is GREEN LANTERN in my opinion. I would normally also include All-Star Batman and All-Star Superman but we see how "monthly" they really are....

To be honest I think it is a bad thing if Hulk is stronger than Superman. Let D.C. have their overpowered perfect superheroes. Marvel’s strength isn’t about super powerful superheroes. It is a cohesive world where flawed heroes have to defeat the villains within their limitations.

There was a nice "commentary" made on this point in the Marvel vs. DC short films that showed up on YouTube a while back, under "I'm a Marvel and I'm a DC."

The point was that the DC heroes are, for the most part, who we aspire to be and the Marvel characters, for the most part, are who we are. That seems a nice what to think about things to me. Each has their strong points as well as weak points.

As for Superman and WWH, I'd have to say that PAD got it right. Even though Hulk might be stronger, Superman has such a high power level and a wide variety of powers that there's no reason that he couldn't have dealt with WWH Hulk.

Besides, Superman is hardly the most powerful character. The Spectre could have dealt with WWH without any effort, if he chose to, which he probably wouldn't have.

Also Batman could have taken down WWH Hulk, if he had enough "prep time." ;)

Marvel + DC = :chew

I don't know why anyone has to pick a side. I pick and choose the best titles from each.
:monkey1

You are right.
I pick the best from each every time I go my local comic shop.
I pick up about a dozen from Marvel.
And when I go to get the DC rack, looking for the best, I get the same amount every time.............zero.
That is cause I already have the best in my hand, and that is Marvel.

Am I the only one??????????

Recently I've gotten back into collecting regularly again after an exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxtended hiatus and the titles that I'm collecting are Avengers-- in all of its forms (The Mighty, The New,...etc.) I also am currently collecting the Hulk ever since the end of Planet Hulk and on through WWH but I'm not sure how long that is going to last-- my point?... Well, when I collected religiously (in the mid to late 80's) I bought Marvel and DC (mostly Batman--every variation, plus the Justice League) and honestly it's the mortal element, the (dare I type it) realism offered (as much as possible in a comic:D) in Marvel that DC seems to overlook with their gods on earth that agree in your above comment. Superman has his place, I'd just prefer to see Captain America or Iron-Man tackle a devestation or a moral quandary.

Make mine Marvel.

If you look at my collection, you'll see I have more than 10 times the amount of Marvel books than I do DC, but this new Green Lantern series is definitely worth checking out. It is probably one of the best books out there right now.

I may get flamed for this, but...

WWH was such a missed opportunity. Planet Hulk was so much better.

There were only two times that I collected anything in DC.
That was when Superman died at the hands of Doomsday.
And also when Bane broke Batman's back at the character Azrael was created to take his place.

Since then, Superman lived.
Azrael died.

Nothing has ever jumped out that I need to get since then.

I agree. I had high hopes for "World War Hulk" after "Planet Hulk" and was completely let down by it. They really put themselves in a corner with "The Iluminati" storylines I suppose and it made for a really forced and silly series. Of course between the recent hulk series and "Civil War" they were able to establish the greatest villian in the MU isnt Dr Doom or Thanos, It's Tony Stark! Whoda' thunk it? Yup, pure genius turning Ironman (etc) into a supervillian. Yup, genius.

I'm the same way as you, I'm definitely a Marvel guy first and foremost but you're 100% right about Green Lantern as I believe it is the BEST comic that DC is putting out right now.

I laugh at all the Superman comics cause they have him against retro monster design rejects and there just doesn't seem to be much to it. I did pick up Donner's story arc with Zod...but you see how that goes with all the missed deadlines.

Batman sucks...honestly..I tried giving it a shot with the Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul...but it was bad. I did like Kubert's run during the "Batman & Son" storyline.

But like you said, on a consistent basis, GL is the best thing they have right now, I just hope they don't mess it up. :monkey1
