This is an american flag so as long as there is red and white stripes to me it's good.

Thanks man, to me they are completely different.

The first one is more of a real world WWII looking cap, wether the second one as a bit more heroic feeling IMO.

Those goggles are a 100% improvement over your first choice. I never said anything at the time, but I never liked those goggles as they just didn't fit the character or moment. And because I know what they were based off of
