I guess my question is what really did carry over from the first three X-men movies? Besides the carry over of the concentration camp scene, the Jackman appearance and the way that Mystique looked (which are all superficial), what couldn't said it was just lifted from X-Men lore?

They only acknowledged Jackman.

I'm pretty sure Sachiel was screwing with you because of your question.

Just take a look at X-Men, X2, and 1st class. They all share one thing which X3 and Origins don't.

Yeah, it doesn't matter that they don't share characters/actors. They are part of the same universe according to the primary creative force. Therefore. . .

I still don't really mind any continuity/discontinuity with previous films. These movies have been so enjoyable, I lose track of who was introduced when, etc. etc.

I watched Origins again the other night (and other than the whole 'Deadpool' amalgamation unveiling), it's a great film, IMO.

And First Class is arguably my favorite of all those holding the X-Men title. I'm looking forward to this sequel a great deal, along with the Origins follow-up.

So "Wolverine" is now a sequel set after X1, X2 (who knows at this point if X3 counts)

But it does add very cool connectivity possiblity to Days of Future Past as it could end in the Dystopian future that leads back in time.

Wow. That's two X-Men films he bailed on, right? X-Men: The Last Stand and now this?

Some reports are that Bryan Singer may replace Vaughn.

What the hell? I wonder why? Fox has been so uneven with their Marvel record that my gut tells me this is their fault somehow for not doing what needed to be done to keep Vaughn happy.

Well, guy from Barbershop seems available, and isn't attached to Fantastic Four anymore. Or maybe Brett Ratner could step in again. :(

Singer has contributed to the franchise much more than Vaughn has, not sure why everyone is freaking out. :lol And wasn't first class written by Singer aswell?
