I feel the same way buddy. The Koto Mags is truly special. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the XM Mags but at best, it'll look as good as Sosa's masterpiece.

Got a couple new pieces today! Bishop, which is my very first Bowen, and Gambit.

First off, Gambit is frickin fantastic. Way worth it. Best Paint apps on a Koto piece that I have seen in person. I love love love it. If this was 1/4 scale, it would be a grail.

Bishop is awesome too. It's my first Bowen, so I didn't know what to expect... The paint apps are as good as it gets. I get where all the praise for Bowen comes from now. The statue is surprisingly light though. Base sculpt is beyond fantastic.

I originally though I was going to make a team display in my detolf lol. These are much larger than I though. I can only fit like two on a shelf. Because of this. I'm gonna try to sell off some of my larger sideshow pieces and be selective of just keeping major characters. I'm looking to sell and trade: Spidey Com EX, Apoc EX, and Hulk Com EX.

I plan on doing all the X men eventually. So I will probably sell prints of them when I have more characters painted. It will have to be as a custom order as opposed to my Etsy store though since it's an existing Big time IP. I don't want to mess with that stuff.

Thanks Wolf! Yeah, I have a lot of stuff coming in over the next couple weeks. I got Koto Mags, Colossus, Beast, Jean, Cable, Psylocke, Wolverine, Mr sinister, and, Omega Red.

Got some goodies in the mail today!
I welcomed Wolverine DRS and Cable Action statue to my collection. I was supposed to get Beast, but the seller mixed up my order and sent me a cable. Funny because I actually ended up with two. I'll probably get Beast in a week now.

First off, Cable is pretty sweet. It's a very light statue. Nicely painted and really detailed sculpt. The only problem I have with it is the face is too red. It's a very good statue but not great.

Wolverine on the other hand is BAD ASS...... Great Pose and sculpt.
Paint apps are pretty sloppy though. The skin tones on the face were pretty bad too.... Also, the seller didn't tell me he didn't have the original box. That being said, he packed it extremely well. The statue had a lot of little scuffs, and chips here and there. He did make me a good deal though.
Because of this, Wolverine became my very first custom! I went in and painted over the face with better tones and details. I added detail where the hair meets the face so it wasn't a solid chunk of black. I cleaned up a lot of sloppy work that was on the body and all the little nicks too. I am supper happy with the paints now. Before I touched up the face, I honestly thought the unmasked version was undisplayable. It looked like his face was all bruised. Weird browns and messy paint.

Here's how I rate the statues I've gotten so far:
(I've readjusted scores after getting to see more in person... After seeing all these other statues, Cyclops is starting to stand out as the weak link. His sculpt is an A+, but the paints are really lacking compared to others. The color choices are fine, but the lack of detail is pretty apparent. The other statues are on another level. )

Damn, dude! When I said you needed to really commit to a 1/6 line if you want to collect in that scale...it looks like you took my words to heart. What an incredible amount of fantastic pieces you have picked up in such a short time. This is something you could NEVER do with SSC Marvel PFs. The amount of choices and different era costumes Bowen and Koto provide allows collectors to have complete lines of the characters they want. There are just soooo many great choices. Congrats, your 1/6 collection is looking really good.

I totally agree, with you about not being able to do this in 1/4 scale. My favorite is still 1/5 scale. I am trying to sell some stuff to make room to pay for them all. Selling a couple of these SSC pieces helps pay for a big chunk of this stuff. Luckily my wife is ok with it For now.....


BTW, sorry for spamming pics. I know I love to see peoples pics of their statues to see if I want to buy them, so I thought this could help other potential collectors decide whether or not they want a piece. Plus sharing pics is part of the fun of these forums!

OH! I was on the fence about getting that! It's quite pricey for a 1/6... But I'm wondering if it's gonna be Bowens last Marvel piece. They didn't renew their license right?

The only reason I never got Bowen, is because I didn't like Museum poses. I thought that's all they did. Then I saw some action pieces, and now I keep finding other great action pieces they've done. I really love their work. Plus it's nice to only spend 200 for a statue instead of 400.
