There was no indication of it being part of a series. It did seem that they left the door open for it and that door was used last night when they revealed the second one. The first one was my first direct order from Sideshow. I saw a pic of it somewhere and the trail led me here and statueforum. I remember Wolverine Vs was still being offered on Second Chance so I picked that up as well. The rest is history. My wallet will never be the same.

If you follow the comics it's pretty clear it's from Astonishing Xmen. The design of the Sentinel head and Cyke's costume pretty much confirm it.

i stopped reading/collecting about the time Astonishing came out (CGC bull). think i have the first 2-3 issues. the change in Scott and Peter's uni's for Astonishing were so subtle, i really had no idea until i saw Beast last nite, altho i never really scrutinized the 1st piece that much since by the time i came on the scene it was already going for more than i'd pay at the time. looking closer at Cyke now it does look like Pabblo capture the style of the artwork in the comic. i just REALLY wish SS had marketed or announced the 1st piece as part of a "trilogy" so those who wanted the whole thing coulda planned for it. bah! w/ all the PFs and other pieces i have/am getting i'd have no place to safely display this anyway.

Marvel really did own Toyfair this year didn't they?

A very nice companion piece to the first one, if a little out of my price range at the moment.

To the people who didn't like the look of Beast, is it the sculpt itself you don't like or the Cassidy interpretation of Beast in the first place, because the sculpt looks like the comic book character in Astonishing X-Men, if it's the art style for Beast you don't like I can appreciate that, but IMO the sculpt is pretty accurate to the style.

The new diorama is on an elevated platform which gives it the appearance it's taller. It looks to be about the same height as the cyclops version.

The chest lights up...very cool!!!

I didn't even realize it was a chest plate. It's very cool how Cyclops/Colossus had the head, Beast/White Queen the chest, so that means that Wolverine/Kitty may have the legs!!!
