XM Studio 1/4 Avenger Iron Man Mark VII

Hmmm. A base that allows you to display a 1/4 scale statue two different ways and also happens to be a sign straight from the movie the statue is based off of. Yeah lazy makes sense. They should have done an A base instead.

It's not the fact that he doesn't like the base. Like you said it's an opinion which everyone's entitled to. Calling it rushed (another way of saying lazy) though when the idea itself is a first of it's kind in the statue community is anything but rushed. That's just my opinion

It looks plastic to me. Doesn't look metal in those photos. That's what I meant. Maybe rushed wasn't the best word since I know they put the time in. All these statue companies do. Didn't mean any disrespect by it.

Just think they could have went the extra mile on the base, like they have on the other XM statues.

I think it would be good to throw in a few other colours or details into the base tong emit just a little more contrast, but as a design and with the execution it is totally unique and pretty badass. My only fear is it might be a bit tippy when he is in the flying position.

If the STARK letters on the base would have lit up like they did on the side of the building in The Avengers that would've been a grand slam!

The pose is great, the paint looks damn good. I been waiting for a comiquette but this might be the first movie version I get. The stark base looks cool but a little small and the other base looks like Tetris without the colors.

They are the same base it lays flat and he stands on the face of STARK letters, and then you stand it up and he flys on it .

Yes... But it isn't the quality of the final product I am talking about when it comes to the bust m8, but that proto is right on spec when it comes to the Mark VII. It just shows how the faceplate is off...lol

I think the base is going to come down to taste. Its different and might not go over with some that well. Others it will.

Remember the saying.....it never looks as good in pictures as it does in person.

The two bases in one is freaking awesome! Don't get me wrong. I pray that sideshow steals it and takes a similar approach. But if they would have painted it differently, it would have made it that much more awesome.

When I look at their other statues, crazy detail with sewer covers, green mossy/grass or even just reflection paint, definition in the black top of the street, but this base looks like it's just painted one solid color.

The idea of the base is awesome, the execution of the multiple viewing options, awesome, the paint and definition of the base... Could be better.

Actually we will all be able to see it in its entirety in September at the SGCC. That seems like a long time from now.

Above it says "The Armored" so it's singular referring just to Iron Man.

Lol you know what looking at those pics I think I can see where the red is suppose to have ended, and they just didn't bring it far enough down. Legend I am home on Tuesday I will see if I can PS it properly...lol
