Love the statue sculpt and pose, and can't wait for it to arrive. But still not sure about the base. Anyone knows what are those metal parts he standing on?

The base looks way to simple, illogical and convenient. Where the character design and sculpt is of high quality, the base really takes away from the piece. It adds nothing at all to the piece.

That is probably true, but when you add him to the other XM Avengers his base does fit in. But by itself it is a bit simple....

Sure. For me, one important aspect about a statue is that it needs to be able to hold its own. Many statues look great when paired with a companion piece or several other pieces. But the statues that can work as a single piece, stand-alone-style, are the ones I fall for these days.

Can anyone who's received an xm statue from them confirm the shipping cost? If it is hundreds of dollars I may try and secure my order overseas instead.

My shipping cost for XM Hulk from BBTS to CA was about $100. Hulk is the biggest and heaviest of the XM pieces so far, Hawkeye will be cheaper. But their weight estimates are just that, estimates. They were WAY off for Hulk.

I can live with less than $100 for shipping. I just got hit with a hefty sum for black widow from another dealer and wanted to make sure the same thing didn't happen here.
