How is it that XM Studios can produce these unique characters, but Sideshow can only rehash the same characters over and over again? Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, etc. Is there a specific reason that Sideshow cannot or won't do new Marvel characters? 1/4 scale collectors have been screaming for the statues that XM are currently producing for years. Magneto and Cable are prime examples. XM is a new company and is answering the call right away. This may sound like an XM vs Sideshow debate question, but it is more of a question of why isn't SSC creating these characters and does anyone think they will preview their versions of them in 2015? Cable is my second favorite character behind Professor X, so this sculpt is extremely exciting for me. This looks like another homerun for XM.

in other hand DAMN this cable is amazing. let see how the proto come out... Bowen bishop/cable on sentinel still the best statue to date imo.

I am not exactly new to collecting statues. I did recently start commenting on forums. I actually have a lot of statues. I own the Bishop as well, very cool. Mostly Bowens, but I do have 8 or 9 quarter scale Sideshows. And a few 1:1 busts from Sideshow. I am a long time follower. Collecting Bowens, I rarely couldn't get a character that I wanted. I still want them to produce a 1990's X-Force team, but that may not happen if they don't return. That is a whole different discussion. Sideshow did finally release an Apocalypse and Galactus, which I appreciate, but there are so many characters that they haven't touched and are long over due. Maybe they have something in the works, I don't know. All I know is XM has the right character lineup going. Maybe they will produce a Loki too. Hopefully a Bishop will come along to go with Cable.

I am neither an SSC hater nor lover. I was a big SSC supporter up until XM came along. I guess seeing what another company can do has shown the flaws within Sideshow. Although I was leaning that way with SSC ever since the last comicon. People can defend them all they want(i did in the past) but you just can't overlook the drop in production ACROSS THE BOARD with SSC...lower creativity, less unique characters, don't listen to customer feedback at all, rising prices, INSANE ESs, lower QC, weak EXs...etc etc etc. XM is expensive (esp for us not in Singapore) but there is just no doubt they are making better statues right now. Maybe they fall off in the future, who knows, but right now, they are doing everything right. I have no problem transitioning a lot of my purchases from SSC to XM because I want quality and characters that are all homeruns. For me, the excitement is back and I also look forward to receiving a statue as opposed to being afraid I'm gonna get a QC riddled piece.

I'm in the same exact boat! This Cable is awesome but I'm holding out to see Thor painted, Dr Strange and the supposed Daredevil and Deadpool they have in the works. That being said, it's great to struggle with picking and choosing because it just goes to show how great the work XM has done so far is!

This is so good imagine if I can get the creator master artists Liefeld to sign this. That would only be second to a very well done Jim lee statue. It would be my prized statue. Always liked cable throughout the years. Come to think of it cable is the best creation ever. Well maybe only WW might compete. Would really love a pic next to the master signing this cable statue. This may be a low ES statue along with his signature = instant grail.
